Josh Allen is a father. The Buffalo Bills quarterback and his wife, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, announced the birth of their daughter on Thursday. The couple shared the news through Steinfeld’s newsletter, Beau Society, less than a year after tying the knot in Santa Barbara.

The announcement came with a message that captured the joy of the moment. ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg, who covers the Bills, reported the news on social media.
“Our baby girl has arrived!! We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments,” Steinfeld wrote in the newsletter. “Thank you so much for the love and well wishes. Love, Hailee and Josh.”
The baby’s arrival caps a whirlwind nearly three years for the couple, who moved quickly from their first public sighting to engagement to marriage to parenthood. Allen, the 2024 NFL MVP, and Steinfeld were first linked in May 2023 after being spotted together in New York City. What started as quiet dinners and discreet outings turned into one of sports and entertainment’s most followed relationships.
Allen proposed during the Bills’ bye week in November 2024, getting down on one knee in Malibu in front of a flower arch at sunset. Steinfeld later said she had no idea it was coming. They announced the engagement a week later on Instagram and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the NFL Honors in February 2025, where Allen took home MVP honors and thanked his then-fiancée in his acceptance speech.
“My fiancée, Hailee, you’ve been my rock, you’re my best friend,” Allen said from the stage. “I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
The couple married on May 31, 2025, in an intimate ceremony that Steinfeld described as feeling like “love was running through the veins of every tree” at their venue. She wore a custom Tamara Ralph gown, and the pair opted for an unplugged wedding, asking guests to put away their phones.
Six months later, Steinfeld announced the pregnancy in her December newsletter by sharing a video of Allen kissing her baby bump. The due date was projected for spring 2026.

Allen enters the 2026 offseason as a first-time father after leading Buffalo to another playoff appearance. Steinfeld, a BAFTA- and Academy Award-nominated actress, is coming off the success of “Sinners,” her latest film alongside Michael B. Jordan. Both are 29.
The Bills start their offseason program this month with new head coach Joe Brady, who was promoted after former head coach Sean McDermott left.
