Nearly two years ago, the revelation of the relationship between Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson left the entire NFL world surprised. A nearly 50-year age gap between the two had everyone perplexed about the equation, but the couple has soldiered on.
Moreover, the closeness between the two has been on full display at various points during this time, including her power with the North Carolina Tar Heels. However, they still remain the butt of jokes even now, as evidenced at the 2026 ESPYS.
Bill Belichick Isn’t Escpaing the Jordon Hudson Stigma
Married for nearly three decades to Debby Clarke, the two had three children together before a divorce in 2006. Soon after, he entered a relationship with the executive director of the Bill Belichick Foundation, Linda Holliday.
The pair were together for over 15 years before ending things in 2023. It was near that time that his relationship with Hudson began, after the two had first met on a flight nearly two years earlier.
Hudson, who is 25 years old, is a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader and was also the Miss Maine USA pageant runner-up in 2024. However, she became more involved in Belichick’s professional matters when he moved to North Carolina.
Making appearances alongside him during the initial press tour and media rounds, reports suggested that she was directly curating his media team. But the scope of her involvement has gone beyond just the media detail.

Various reports about her being kept in the loop on every UNC communication, as well as having a direct say in his interviews and media appearances, have made the rounds.
However, the six-time Super Bowl champion as a head coach has maintained that Hudson takes care of his schedule and media so he can keep his focus on the football side of things. Regardless of the exact equation between them, it hasn’t stopped others from poking fun at them.
At the 2026 ESPYS, Marcello Hernández did not waste the obvious opportunity in front of him. The stand-up comedian and actor was the host for the evening and did a spectacular job throughout the show.
A regular for Saturday Night Live since 2022, he released his first stand-up special on Netflix in January 2026, titled “American Boy.” Over the years, his stature has only continued to grow, as he’s also featured in major films like Happy Gilmore 2.

Now, at the sports celebration, he could not miss an easy opportunity to have some fun at Belichick’s expense. With Jalen Brunson taking home the Best Championship Performance Award, the conversation shifted to the historic New York Knicks championship.
53 years in the making, it broke one of the longest championship droughts in American sports history. But Hernández was able to take the joke back to the last time the Knicks called themselves NBA champions.
“In 1973, hockey players didn’t wear helmets, basketball had no 3-point line, and in 1973, Bill Belichick was the age his girlfriend is now.” As the crowd burst into shocked laughter, Hernández acknowledged, “Is that the line? Is that where you’re drawing the line?”
It remains to be seen whether Hudson, who has had a dynamic presence on social media, has a response for the veteran comedian. But it was easy to take the joke lightheartedly, especially as the show moved to different topics almost immediately.
