One of the biggest off-field stories in the offseason is the impact of Bill Belichick’s new girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, on his life. The 24-year-old has inserted herself into some brand endorsement commercials and dictated Belichick’s media appearances.
During a recent interview with Good Morning America, Belichick addressed Hudson’s role in his life.
Belichick Explains Hudson Is in Charge of Business Affairs
Belichick told interviewer Michael Strahan that Hudson manages his non-football endeavors.
“She’s been very helpful to me. She does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football.”

He also added that she was involved in the content creation process for his recent book. Belichick recently published his first book, titled ‘The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football’.
“I acknowledged her in the book, she was very helpful in that with the tribute pages,” Belichick said. “Given a perspective of the book from kind of, a business side, sometimes I get a little football technical. And so she did a good job of keeping me on balance there.”
Strahan then pressed Belichick on whether he is happy in his new relationship. Strahan and Belichick have a long history, dating back to the Hall of Famer’s playing days with the New York Giants.
Strahan had two tackles and one sack in the Giants’ win in Super Bowl XLII in 2008 against Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots. Given the history, Strahan felt comfortable checking in on Belichick, asking, “What did Jordon mean to you?”
Belichick was apprehensive at first, replying: “I’m not talking about personal relationships, Michael, you know that.”
Strahan pressed the issue. He asked, “But I’m saying, are you happy? You look happy. I never thought I’d see you doing yoga. Only happy people do yoga, coach.”
That brought a laugh out of the typically serious coach.
Hudson Has Been the Center of Controversy in Recent Weeks
Hudson has been mired in controversy in recent weeks. Reports surfaced that she tried to get herself on-screen roles in commercials, which Belichick was hired to do. She successfully made it onto a Dunkin’ commercial that aired during Super Bowl week.
She also interrupted a media interview between Belichick and CBS journalist Tony Dokoupil, shutting down a question about how the pair met.
Last week, several news outlets reported that Hudson has been banned from the North Carolina football facilities. However, they turned out to be unfounded and forced UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham to release a statement regarding the subject.
