Jordon Hudson made another buzz-worthy appearance on April 12, showing up at North Carolina’s spring practice in an outfit with fans doing a double take. The 24-year-old girlfriend of Bill Belichick shared a brief moment with the coach in the end zone before leaving, all while the Tar Heels went through pass-catching drills.
Belichick, now leading the UNC program, is back in action following his legendary run with the New England Patriots. While his return to coaching has already stirred headlines, Hudson’s unexpected spring practice look might have stolen the show for a few moments.

That occurred again on April 12 when she showed up at a spring practice with a North Carolina Tar Heels-themed outfit. She met Belichick in the end zone to speak with him before departing, as the Tar Heels players went through pass-catching drills.

Belichick took over the Tar Heels program in December 2024 after a year away from coaching in the NFL with the New England Patriots. He replaces former UNC head coach Mac Brown, fired after a 6-7 season.
Belichick Builds “33rd Team” as UNC Embraces NFL Mentality
Belichick brought an extra NFL-like feel to his final spring practice with the Tar Heels on April 12 as players didn’t wear jersey numbers, which he did in the past with the Patriots. The practice was open to the public instead of a spring game.
Since his arrival, Belichick has been focused on bringing an NFL feel to the Tar Heels program. He said as much when he came on “The Pat McAfee Show” right before taking the job.
“It would be a professional program: training, nutrition, scheme, coaching, techniques, that would transfer to the NFL. It will be an NFL program at a college level,” Belichick told McAfee.
Belichick added the NFL feel by bringing in Michael Lombardi as the program’s general manager. Lombardi previously worked on Belichick’s staff in New England between 2014 and 2016 and in various front office roles around the NFL between 1989 and 2013.
“Everything here is predicated on building a pro team,” Lombardi said in a February press conference. “We consider ourselves the 33rd team because everybody involved with our program has had some form or aspect in pro football.”
Belichick’s staff also includes several familiar NFL names, including defensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens, defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, running backs coach Natrone Means, and defensive back/safeties coach Brian Belichick.
UNC Misses Out on Nico Iamaleava
Belichick won’t land one of the biggest-named quarterbacks to hit the transfer portal.
According to On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos, UNC looked like a possible destination for former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Unfortunately for Tar Heels fans, however, Iamaleava isn’t going to Chapel Hill, as Nakos later reported.
Belichick’s quarterback room consists of Max Johnson, who was recovering from a season-ending injury last year. The Tar Heels also have Purdue transfer Ryan Browner, who started in two games last year for the Boilermakers.
North Carolina also has Bryce Baker, D.J. Mazzone, Andres Miyares, and Hudson Wilharm on the roster.
