CeeDee Lamb’s Fantasy Outlook
Lamb had another strong season for the Dallas Cowboys in 2024. Lamb caught 101 of 152 passes for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns, finishing as the WR7 in PPR points per game (17.6) with a minimum of eight games played. It was his third straight season with at least 17.0 fantasy points scored.
Lamb was able to reach that level in fantasy despite playing just nine games with Dak Prescott, thanks to a high-volume role and his continued usage in the slot (46.2% slot rate in 2024). The loss of Prescott forced him into the lowest average depth of target in his career (7.8) and capped his upside in fantasy.
Lamb’s ability to be a fantasy producer isn’t tied to Prescott, but he needs the veteran quarterback to be healthy to hit his ceiling. His floor is a top 10 fantasy receiver regardless, but we also learned in 2023 that his ceiling with a healthy Prescott is WR1 overall in fantasy.
Adding George Pickens to the offense could also help by giving the Cowboys another weapon in the passing game that defenses need to respect. There are more than enough targets for both of them.
Lamb can justifiably be taken as the WR2 in fantasy drafts this season because he will be a top-10 scoring wide receiver regardless of whether Prescott is on the field.Â
