Chicago’s Playoff Chances

The Bears have several divisional games remaining on their schedule. They have to play the Packers twice and the Lions. But the good news is that the Bears control their own destiny in their quest to win the NFC North. The Packers are only 0.5 games behind Chicago, but the Bears could end their hopes with a couple of wins over Green Bay when they face off.

According to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor, the Bears have a 48.9% chance of winning the NFC North after their victory on Black Friday. Their odds increased by 11.4 percentage points. Their playoff odds are heavily in their favor, at 87.7%, which represents a 10.4 percentage point increase.

The Bears have had the most manageable schedule through their first 11 games. Their next six games were the second-hardest remaining schedule behind the Indianapolis Colts.

They passed their first test with a convincing victory over the defending Super Bowl champs. Chicago will have an easy one in Week 14 against the Browns before facing the gauntlet that remains.

The Bears found a formula that dominated one of the NFL’s top defenses. D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai ran all over the Eagles’ defense for over 250 yards. The weather wasn’t great in Philadelphia, with high winds and cold temperatures, so the Bears took it to Philadelphia on the ground and picked their moments to take advantage through the air.

The Bears’ defense played a great game. Even though the Eagles haven’t been great on offense in 2025, the Bears made it very tough on the Eagles. They did what they do best. They forced turnovers and capitalized on the Philadelphia mistakes. Their performance was huge and will be a massive result down the stretch.

A loss would have been brutal and shifted the momentum in favor of the Packers. Instead, the Bears control their own path. The Lions fell further behind in the divisional race after losing to Green Bay on Thanksgiving. This makes it very tough for Detroit to make a run at the NFC North crown. There will likely be a new division champion in 2025, with the competition between Chicago and Green Bay, where Chicago is currently the favorite.
