New Chicago Bears addition Jonah Jackson has only been in the Windy City for a month, but he’s already all-in on what the team is building. The veteran offensive lineman isn’t shying away from bold expectations—he firmly believes a Super Bowl ring is within reach in Chicago.
Jackson has made it clear that he didn’t come to the Bears just to compete—he came to win it all.

Jonah Jackson Makes Bold Statement About Bears’ Super Bowl Aspirations
The veteran guard shared his confident outlook during an interview with GoLongTD.com.
“I’m excited to get back to it and string a full season together and get a damn ring.”
He emphasized that personal accolades mean little to him—his sole focus is bringing a championship to Chicago. When asked about his goals with the Bears, Jackson didn’t hesitate.
“Screw the personal accolades. It’s to win it all.”
If the Bears were to reach that mountaintop, it would mark a historic moment for the franchise. Chicago has won just one Super Bowl since the AFL-NFL merger—back in 1986. Their only other appearance came in 2007, when they fell to the Indianapolis Colts.
Jackson signed a three-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams last season, but a shoulder injury in Week 2 derailed his year. He failed to reclaim his starting role upon returning and appeared in just four games. The Rams ultimately moved on, trading him to the Bears for a sixth-round pick.
In the same interview, Jackson also opened up about bouncing back from his injury-riddled 2024 season—determined to prove he can still be a difference-maker.
“All that matters is how you bounce back.”
The trade brings him back to the NFC North and reunites him with new Bears head coach Ben Johnson. Jonah Jackson played under Johnson with the Detroit Lions for two seasons, where Ben Johnson served as the offensive coordinator. J
ackson is excited for the opportunity to work under Johnson and the Bears organization.
“The Bears are such a historic franchise, and they’ve been there before. We’re excited to be a part of a turnaround. I’ve been a part of a turnaround before, and we can definitely do it again.”
Jonah Jackson’s Arrival Marks Key Step in Bears’ Offensive Line Overhaul
The trade for Jonah Jackson is part of a broader overhaul of the Bears’ offensive line this offseason. Chicago also acquired four-time Super Bowl champion guard Joe Thuney in a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs and signed center Drew Dalman in free agency.
Offensive tackles Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright are the only returning starters from last season’s line. The revamped unit is aimed at solving one of the team’s biggest issues—pass protection—after rookie quarterback Caleb Williams was sacked a league-high 68 times in 2024.
With a retooled offensive line and a locker room full of belief, the Bears are hoping to turn potential into production. And if Jonah Jackson has anything to say about it, Chicago’s long-awaited return to championship glory might not be far off.
