‘Extremely Unprofessional’ — Bears Fans Call Out CBS Reporter’s ‘Embarrassing’ Question About Caleb Williams

The Chicago Bears seem to have turned things around for the first time in seven years this season. Unfortunately, their impressive turnaround under rookie head coach Ben Johnson has also witnessed some controversy.

The latest incident came after their spectacular 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.

Fans Bash CBS Reporter for ‘Ridiculous’ Postgame Interview Question

CBS reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala is trending for all the wrong reasons after interviewing Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and tight end Colston Loveland after their victory over Bengals.

At the end of the interview, she asked Loveland if he thinks that Bears fans will be quiet about Williams after the win, alluding to past criticism toward the shot-caller. While the rookie tight end just backed his teammate, fans online lashed out at the reporter.

One X user said Kinkhabwala should be forced to apologize for her lack of professionalism.

“This reporter should be fired or forced to apologize what kind of final question is that absolutely ridiculous and out of touch,” they tweeted.

Dylan Flannery affirmed how Bears fans love Williams.

“This is such an embarrassing final question. We love Caleb. @AKinkhabwala what is g*ds name is this?” he said.

Another user bashed CBS’s broadcast in general.

“Might be the worst postgame interview ever,” they wrote. “This was the worst broadcast crew EVER. Second time we’ve had to hear them this year. Should get relegated like soccer.”

Dom simply questioned why one would ask such a question.

“what is her problem? why would you ask that??” he posted.

Paul Landis noted how it seemed like Kinkhabwala took a shot at Williams with the final question.

“Wow did she just take a shot at Caleb at the end,” he tweeted.

Ashor DeKelaita mentioned how “awkward” the reporter often makes situations.

“What a crazy question to ask a rookie TE,” he wrote. “The kid just had the biggest game of his NFL career. Just do your little post game interview and kick rocks. Just like the Belicheck/Tomlin comments she made in-game. She just couldn’t resist making it awkward.”

One fan interestingly referenced a previous incident around the start of this season, where Coach Johnson was caught in a similar uncomfortable situation with Kinkhabwala.

“You see why Ben hates her,” they posted.

When the Bears played the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4, the CBS reporter interviewed Johnson before halftime. Instead of pure questions, she seemingly criticized his game plan and asked him to make a change. The coach fired back at her, and the exchange went viral.

How Kinkhabwala interacts with the Bears moving forward remains to be seen.
