Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams hit the red carpet with his girlfriend Alina Thyregod at the 2024 NFL Draft. It turned out to be a night to remember for the quarterback as he was drafted No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bears.
While Williams continues to don the Bears’ colors, his relationship with Thyregod seems to have hit a roadblock.
Bears QB Caleb Williams and Madelyn Cline Go Viral at Summer Smash as Ex Wipes Instagram Clean
Williams started posting about Thyregod near the end of 2023, and the pair made their first public appearance at the following year’s NFL Draft. The Bears quarterback celebrated his first anniversary with Thyregod in October last year.
Rumors of Williams’ breakup with his girlfriend started floating on the internet after he was spotted without her at the F1 Miami Grand Prix on May 4. About seven weeks later, the Bears’ star was spotted with a Hollywood actress.
Williams attended the Summer Smash in Illinois this weekend. He was recorded vibing to a Sexxy Red set with Madelyn Cline on Saturday. However, Williams and Cline weren’t alone and were joined by their friends.

Although the Bears’ quarterback hasn’t made any statements about his relationship status with Thyregod, the latter has removed all of Williams’ snaps and videos from her social media handles.
Williams Moves On From Alina Thyregod and Rough Rookie Year, Eyes Redemption With Bears
Multiple sources around the web indicate that Williams did indeed have a long-term girlfriend. According to The U.S. Sun, Williams had been official with his girlfriend, Valery Orellana, at least since the two were students at neighboring high schools in the D.C. metro area together in 2020.
However, ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, Williams told The Spun that the two are no longer together. A couple weeks before walking the red carpet, Williams posted this on social media: “Wait til yall see draft day suit and my ladies dress. 1 of 1s.” A few days later, Thyregod arrived at the 2024 NFL Draft with Williams and his mother.
Williams’ rookie season was a bit of a disappointment. After all the hype that comes with a first overall pick, Williams didn’t hit the ground running, and Chicago could only manage five victories last year.
The Bears entered their bye week at 4-2 and proceeded to lose the next 10 games. The word was out on how to beat Williams as he finished his rookie season 33rd in PFSN’s QB+ metric after posting 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Williams has better weapons heading into 2025, and the team has heavily invested in the offensive line. The Bears would hope to bounce back and make a deeper run into the postseason in the upcoming season.
