Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair has faced significant criticism for his play. On Monday night, Al-Shaair received plenty of hate from Seattle Seahawks fans after hitting Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold.
The Seahawks held a 14-3 lead over the Texans in the second quarter, but that didn’t stop Seattle fans from wanting the NFL to suspend Al-Shaair.
What Were Seahawks Fans Saying About Texans’ Azeez Al-Shaair?
Al-Shaair has been under a microscope for his play dating back to last season, when he delivered a massive hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence’s situation might have been on Seahawks fans’ minds when seeing Darnold get hit.
One Seahawks fan implored the NFL to really look at Al-Shaair’s style of play.

This fan has been watching Al-Shaair play and has some thoughts on the linebacker’s play while with the Texans. The fan wrote, “Azeez Al-Shaair has brought nothing to the Texans except penalties and cheap shots.”
As for this fan, they are calling for Al-Shaair to get a lifetime ban. The fan wrote, “Al-Shaair is making a strong case to receive a lifetime ban while being an active player.”
But this fan has obviously seen Al-Shaair play before and knows that the linebacker has played like this before. The fan wrote, “Of course it’s Al-Shaair making that dumba** play. Just escort that man out of bounds. TD on the next play to JSN. That’s what you get.”

One fan has an idea for the Texans: Get rid of Al-Shaair. This fan wrote on X, “Al-Shaair again? @HoustonTexans, you are not a serious team until you get rid of him. Good night. Not watching anymore.”
This fan probably also has seen the Texans’ linebacker’s style of play out on the field and had some choice words for the team. The fan wrote, “Al-Shaair is such a cheap shot artist pos. Glad that penalty cost his team points”.
When it comes to reckless play, this fan has seen enough of Al-Shaair’s tactics and is calling the player out. The fan wrote on X, “Azeez Al-Shaair is such a reckless dumba**. How many times has he pulled these dirty plays? Just cost his team a touchdown.” Another fan didn’t hold back in criticizing Al-Shaair one bit: “Azeez Al-Shaair is da biggest f**k up / dummy in football lmao … he always cost his team. Like always”.
The Texans will have to address Al-Shaair’s play after the ballgame. Some NFL fans want him out for the rest of the season. So, the NFL has some decisions to make after this Monday night matchup in Seattle.
