Ashton Jeanty’s Contract, Salary, and Net Worth: Raiders Rookie Is Shockingly Already NFL’s Second-Highest-Paid RB

RB Ashton Jeanty has been drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 NFL Draft with the sixth overall pick, but what will his rookie contract look like?

One of the most exciting players in the 2025 NFL Draft class is Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. He finished second in the 2024 Heisman Trophy voting after recording 374 rushing attempts for 2,601 yards (7.0 yards per carry) and 29 rushing touchdowns, 23 receptions for 138 yards (6.0 yards per catch) and one touchdown.

Now, he knows where he’ll start his NFL career after being selected with the sixth pick by the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Pete Carroll has the bell cow for his offense after the Raiders radically reshaped their offense this season. Let’s dive deeper into what Jeanty’s contract will look like and what it means for his net worth.

Ashton Jeanty’s Contract and Salary

The running back position has been devalued in the NFL, so teams often avoid giving out massive contracts, believing they can find better value at other positions. However, with the Raiders drafting Jeanty with the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, he will enter the league as one of the richest running backs before playing a single snap.

With the NFL’s rookie contract scale based on what pick a player is drafted, the two-time Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year is projected to have a four-year, $36.837 million contract, with almost $32 million of the deal guaranteed.

The guaranteed money given to running backs would put the rookie as the second-highest at the position, with only Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley ahead of Jeanty, who has $36 million guaranteed on his deal.

Jeanty’s Net Worth

According to CRIX11, Jeanty’s net worth is $1.86 million, and a lot of that is due to his NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) valuation. According to On3, Jeanty has a $1.6 million NIL valuation and was 42nd on their NIL 100 list.

He has NIL deals with the Boise Hawks, an independent minor league baseball team, and SAXX Underwear. However, his net worth is expected to climb as he prepares to ink his new contract with the Las Vegas Raiders after being selected with the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

It is important, and pretty obvious, that his net worth does not influence his contract with the Raiders. However, his net worth will multiply once the deal is officially signed. After incredible seasons from RBs Barkley, Derrick Henry, and Josh Jacobs, to name a few, Jeanty was one of five ball carriers to hear their name called in the first two rounds of the draft.
