Taylen Green is one of the most intriguing quarterback prospects in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft class. The Arkansas Razorbacks star has the physical gifts to demand the attention of pro scouts, and he has been impressive during Senior Bowl practices. This has apparently resulted in his stock surging as the offseason progresses.
Taylen Green’s Rising Stock in 2026 NFL Draft Class as Intriguing QB Prospect
Green has reportedly been one of the most impressive quarterbacks during Senior Bowl practices this year. His physical attributes have been apparent to NFL scouts, but if he can continue to impress in on-field work, his draft stock could rise further.
Lance Zierlein and Eric Edholm recently reported on all of the action at the Senior Bowl practices and listed Green as one of their day-two standouts.
They explained why he has been impressive and expanded on his overall outlook as the draft approaches. Their analysis included his rising draft stock and a prediction for just how high he could be picked this year.
“In a draft light on quarterback headliners beyond Fernando Mendoza, Green should be garnering buzz thanks to his rare physical attributes and skill set. At 6-foot-6 and with a wingspan of nearly seven feet, his long arms create a longer release and his accuracy is spotty.”
“He has the arm strength to make explosive throws and can gobble up yards outside the pocket with his long strides. The ups and downs from his game tape were present in practice on Wednesday, but the ups are highly intriguing. With a strong finish to the week, he has a chance to position himself as a likely late Day 2 pick,” explained Zierlein and Edholm.
They praised his size and athleticism, which are always desirable for NFL teams seeking to draft a quarterback. In this modern version of the game, mobility is almost a requirement for the position, and he has it.
This includes rushing for 2,405 yards and 35 touchdowns across four years as a starting quarterback in college football, split evenly between two seasons each at Arkansas and Boise State.
Green also passed for 9,662 yards and another 59 touchdowns, though his 35 interceptions are surely concerning. Given his physical gifts, it’s likely that some NFL teams will believe that they can clean this up and maximize his obvious upside. He ranked 27th among all quarterbacks in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for last season, his best finish in any of his four collegiate seasons.
