There have been plenty of opinions shared online about the Turning Point USA-sponsored Super Bowl 60 halftime show featuring singer Kid Rock. Kid Rock was the main performer at the show, along with Brantley Gilbert, Gabby Barrett, and Lee Brice.
This halftime show was titled the “All-American Halftime Show,” an opposing show to Super Bowl 60’s official halftime show featuring Bad Bunny. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin also appeared with Bad Bunny, but they were not announced in advance.
NFL Analyst Offers Thoughts on Kid Rock Performance
On Monday, Craig Carton of WFAN in New York shared some thoughts about the Turning Point USA show featuring Kid Rock.
“Like I said on the show many times, I didn’t turn the channel once,” Carton said. “I’m in on the Super Bowl, I want to watch all of it. This morning, however, I did see some videos online from the TPAUSA (TPUSA officially), you know, the Kid Rock one?
“And I got to be honest, I love country music, and I like Kid Rock,” Carton said. “That was embarrassing, what Kid Rock did. He didn’t sing a single song.” His co-host said that it looked like Kid Rock’s songs were lip-synced. “By the way, he didn’t even try to lip-synch it,” Carton said.

“He, like, pretended to have the mic and then the mic was over here away from his body,” Carton said while pointing to his right.
“And he’s still singing. And I like Kid Rock a lot. I love country music like you do. I know a lot of people watched it, it was successful, 5 million people streamed or whatever. I don’t know, man. Not great.”
According to some estimates, the Turning Point USA halftime show had 5 million viewers. But according to other estimates, Bad Bunny’s halftime show drew 135.4 million viewers. Turning Point USA is the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, which is now led by his widow, Erika Kirk.
On the whole, the “All-American Halftime Show” didn’t receive a lot of high marks in the wake of its broadcast. There were also some reports that Kid Rock might have lip-synched his performance, as Carton pointed out.
