The last week of the NFL regular season is on the brink of a jumpstart, with only one game remaining in week 17. The week saw many unexpected results for interesting games. Minnesota won over Detroit, the Ravens beat the Packers, Jacksonville beat Indianapolis, and the most shocking result came for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Whether a team wins or loses, accountability and honesty are what fans seek from head coaches and players. But the Steelers have disappointed their fans twice, not just by loss, but also by complete dishonesty. And all of it stems from head coach Mike Tomlin’s reaction to their 13-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Mike Tomlin’s ‘Delusional’ Claims Infuriate NFL Analyst
The bad play-calling was evident. When Tomlin was asked about the performance overview, he said, “I didn’t think we played poorly today.” This did not go well with the fans or analysts. NFL insider John Frascella was not very kind with his words and gave a brutally honest reality check.
On his X account, he posted a GIF of Tomlin kissing his palm off, accompanied by a rather explanatory caption.
Frascella wrote, “In the biggest game of their season, the playoff hopeful Pittsburgh Steelers lost 13-6 to the division rival CLEVELAND BROWNS today. After the game, embattled head coach Mike Tomlin said: ‘I didn’t think we played poorly today’.”

He added his opinion on the HC’s behavior. “This is when you know his time is up in Pittsburgh.
Either he’s delusional, lost his mind, or he’s trolling the fans and the media. Just be real and say I SUCKED AT MY JOB TODAY,” Frascella added.
How Did the Pittsburgh Steelers Fair Against the Cleveland Browns?
The game was more than a disgraceful performance. The defense looked more porous than a vegetable grater, and the Browns’ wide receivers seemed to find all of them. Speaking of the Steelers’ attack would be like putting the team between a rock and a hard place.
Aaron Rodgers did try his best. But not all efforts were capitalized. They tried their best to find a comeback momentum in the second quarter after trailing 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.
With 14:57 remaining in the second quarter, K Chris Boswell scored a field goal, starting the chain of efforts.
Pittsburgh ended the second quarter 10-6, and it was the last time they scored in the game. The third quarter went scoreless for both teams, and the Browns sealed their victory with a three-point field goal by K Andre Szmyt with 1:43 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Steelers will play against the Baltimore Ravens in week 18 for the AFC North division lead. If the Ravens win, they will tie Pittsburgh in points.
