Is Amon-Ra St. Brown Playing in Week 13?

Star Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown was a non-participant in Detroit’s estimated Monday practice due to a knee injury. Fortunately, he was upgraded to limited on Tuesday and fully practiced on Wednesday.

While he’s officially listed as questionable, St. Brown should be expected to suit up after ending the week with a full practice.

St. Brown never went down or left the game in Week 12. He played 68 offensive snaps — his second-highest total of the year — while reeling in six catches for 62 yards.

On Monday, Campbell did not include St. Brown in the group of injured Lions he’s “most concerned” about (OT Taylor Decker and CB Carlton Davis III). Campbell did admit that St. Brown is “a little banged up” but continued to express optimism about his WR1’s status on Tuesday.

We’ll continue to monitor the Lions’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.

Should You Start or Sit Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 13?

The touchdown streak came to an end for Amon-Ra St. Brown last weekend in Indy (a franchise record eight straight games), and that resulted in an underwhelming performance from Detroit’s star receiver in a similar way to how his teammates have underachieved at various points this season.

    Volume.

St. Brown is having a great season — if you had to guess, how many times has he reached 65 receiving yards in a game?

The answer is four, and two of them came back in September. This offense is so efficient and so productive on the ground that, should the touchdowns dry up for any one specific player, they are capable of plummeting down the weekly production leaderboard.

St. Brown is safer than any other pass catcher on this roster, and it’s not close, but he’s not immune to such performances. I like his chances of earning a turkey leg in Thanksgiving’s first game this week against a Bears defense that allowed 9.8 yards per pass attempt to the Vikings.

PFN Insight on the Packers' Defense

The Green Bay Packers are far better than several units ahead of them on this list. Still, every D/ST in the league will rank near the bottom when visiting the Detroit Lions.

Green Bay is third in takeaways per drive, but the Packers are dependent on that for their fantasy value. On drives that don't end in a takeaway, the Packers rank 15th in yards allowed per drive. While that's not horrible, it's also not promising against a Lions offense that has avoided a turnover in four of their last six games.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions Trends

    Green Bay Packers

Team: Green Bay doesn’t have an offensive snap when trailing in consecutive games, giving them five such games this season.

QB: After throwing an interception in eight straight games to open the season, Jordan Love has gone consecutive games (51 attempts) with a pick (four touchdown passes).

Offense: The Packers have averaged 3.14 points per drive over their past three games (Weeks 1-10: 2.23).

Defense: The quick-release Dolphins couldn’t solve the Packers on Thursday night. Green Bay posted a 9.8% sack rate, their third-highest of the season.

Fantasy: Jayden Reed showcased strong efficiency as a rookie last season (25.2% over expectation) and has only gotten better this year (+51.6%).

Betting: Under tickets have come through in eight of Green Bay’s past 10 road games.

    Detroit Lions

Team: The Lions have won the first half of their three games since the five-interception win over the Texans by a cumulative score of 58-12.

QB: Jared Goff hasn’t thrown an interception on 99 attempts since the disaster game in Houston (five interceptions against 15 completions).

Offense: Detroit’s NFL-record 25-game streak with a rushing TD came to an end on Thanksgiving against the Bears, though no Lion fan was complaining, with 194 yards in 33 carries.

Defense: Detroit elected to sit back in converge against Caleb Williams on Thursday, blitzing on just 19.1% of his dropbacks, their lowest rate since Week 1.

Fantasy: Sam LaPorta was able to make a six-yard performance work for you last week thanks to a pair of scores – 42.9% of his PPR points this year have come on touchdown receptions (2023: 35.8%).

Betting: The Lions failed to cover on Thanksgiving – they haven’t failed to cover consecutive home games since Weeks 11-12 of last season.
