    Amare Ferrell’s NFL Draft Potential

Amare Ferrell is one of the more well-rounded safety prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft. At 6’2″, 200 pounds, he’s long and explosive on the back end, with a sound pedal, fluid matching skills in zone, and quick click-and-close reaction overtop route breaks. He has a vast technical palette in terms of how he can move to respond to routes, and he’s also very reliable coming downhill in run support to make tackles.

There are occasional lapses in coverage communication and role responsibility that Ferrell will have to iron out, but that comes with the territory at safety. Overall, aside from good-not-great long speed, Ferrell doesn’t have too many holes in his game, and he should be able to take on coverage and support roles without much acclimation in the NFL.

    CFB Week 9 Update

In a dominant showing by Indiana’s offense and defense, Amare Ferrell wasn’t stressed too much by UCLA’s offense. He managed space well in zone coverage, came downhill with urgency in support, and tackled with sure form in the open field. Ferrell continues to check boxes, but the big games for his stock will come later in the year, in the College Football Playoffs.

Where Is Ferrell Being Selected Most Often in the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator?

Ferrell currently holds the No. 64 overall rank among prospects, positioning him as a Day 2 prospect. His most recent Average Draft Position (ADP) of 67.6 as of October 27 reflects that he is typically being selected on Day 2 or early Day 3.

This small gap between rank and ADP suggests he’s consistently valued among evaluators, even amid fluctuations in player evaluations at this stage of the draft cycle.

Users controlling the Buffalo Bills have been the team that selected Ferrell the most frequently over the past week, accounting for 1.4% of their picks across all seven rounds.
