Looking completely washed, what does Allen Robinson II's future look like, and what is his value in dynasty fantasy football leagues going forward?

Allen Robinson II Dynasty Profile: Fantasy Outlook, Value, Projections, and Rankings

As we inch toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the dynasty rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of Los Angeles Rams WR Allen Robinson II.

Allen Robinson II’s Dynasty Outlook and Value

The idea of screaming buys in dynasty certainly doesn’t apply here. Coming off a dismal 2021, I bought the Allen Robinson rebound hype in a superior offensive situation in 2022. I was very, very wrong.

As it turns out, when 28-year-old wide receivers show obvious signs of decline and are outperformed by other receivers on their team, we should pay more attention. Lesson learned.

Robinson followed up his performance of 7.3 fantasy points per game in 2021 with 8.5 ppg in 2022. It wasn’t a fluke, nor was it because of his quarterback or offense.

For a second consecutive season, Robinson played exceptionally poorly. He commanded just a 15.2% target share and not because of a lack of usage. Robinson simply wasn’t getting open. That’s why he was only targeted on 16.5% of his routes run. His 6.5 yards per target and 1.08 yards per route run were both outside the top 85.

    Allen Robinson II’s Fantasy Ranking

We typically think of wide receivers falling off around age 31 or 32. Sometimes, it happens much younger. In 2015, we saw it with a similar player in Dez Bryant at age 27.

Simply put, I think Robinson is done. We have two full seasons of evidence suggesting that to be the case.

Robinson will turn 30 years old this season. The Rams can’t do anything about his contract this year. It would cost them more money to cut him than to keep him. But next year, he’s almost certainly gone with an $8.4 million dead cap hit.

It doesn’t really matter where Robinson ends up. He doesn’t have anything left. The 2014 second-rounder is nearing the end. If and when the Rams move on from him, there’s a really good chance he doesn’t get another job. Even if he does, it would look a lot like A.J. Green in Arizona or Julio Jones in Tampa Bay — not fantasy relevant.

Fantasy managers don’t need to wait for that, though. We have Robinson ranked WR71 (No. 177 overall) in our dynasty Superflex rankings. At this point, he’s really only that high because of name value. You can move on now, and if you’re in a dynasty startup draft, there’s no reason to push the button on Robinson.
