Which Active NFL Head Coaches Have Won a Super Bowl?

Only seven head coaches currently coaching in the league have at least one Super Bowl ring.

7) Pete Carroll — 1 Super Bowl

In Pete Carroll’s 41 years in pro football, he has seen the summit of NFL greatness only once. It was the 2013 season, and Carroll ran the hottest defense in the NFL, featuring the Seattle Seahawks’ Legion of Boom, coupled with an electric offense helmed by quarterback Russell Wilson.

The Seahawks stormed through the regular season and hung a 13-3 record on the door to the postseason, where they ultimately beat the brakes off Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl, 43-8.

6) John Harbaugh — 1 Super Bowl

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh experienced his glory days in the early 2010s, when he and Joe Flacco led the 10-6 Ravens to a 34-31 Super Bowl win over his brother Jim’s San Francisco 49ers.

5) Mike Tomlin — 1 Super Bowl

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been one of the most consistent in NFL history when it comes to success, and he saw the fruits of his hard work in the 2008 season. Securing a playoff seed at 12-4, they ultimately edged the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl, 27-23.

4) Nick Sirianni — 1 Super Bowl

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is the latest Super Bowl winner on this list, having led the team to a championship in the 2024 campaign.

Dominating the league with their “tush push,” the Eagles secured their spot in the playoffs with a 14-3 record. Sirianni and company might have lost Super Bowl LVII to Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Still, Philly got revenge two seasons later, as Sirianni and the Eagles ran KC out of town in Super Bowl LIX, 40-22.

3) Sean McVay — 1 Super Bowl

LA Rams head coach Sean McVay had to swallow a bitter pill after losing to Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots in 2019. However, the Rams worked their way back over the next few years and extracted the most out of a stacked roster in 2021.

Going toe-to-toe with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, McVay’s squad outlasted them 23-20, mainly on the heroics of Triple Crown-winner Cooper Kupp.

2) Sean Payton — 1 Super Bowl

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton aims to lead the team to the pinnacle of the NFL, just as he did in 2009 with the New Orleans Saints.

Running an offense that featured eventual Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, and Marques Colston, Coach Payton went head-to-head with Jim Caldwell and Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts to beat them 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV.

1) Andy Reid — 3 Super Bowls

Reid is the Chiefs’ winningest coach of all time, and it’s evidenced by his three Super Bowl rings across five seasons. After 21 years as an NFL head coach, Reid delivered the goods with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

He first won Super Bowl LIV against the 49ers. Super Bowl LVII against Sirianni and the Eagles, and finally Super Bowl LVIII against the 49ers again.
