Aaron Rodgers is currently in his first season playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The future Hall of Famer has led the team to a 5-3 start, which has them as the top team in the AFC North.
Most recently, the Steelers beat the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 27-20 (at home).
Aaron Rodgers Speaks About Pittsburgh Steelers Legend
After the big win, Rodgers spoke about Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger.
Rodgers: “I’ve know Ben for years and years and years… He was picked in the draft before me, so I obviously knew about his game… A lot of respect for him and his career and what he accomplished. He won the Super Bowl in what, his second year?… I enjoyed watching him play over the years, because he wasn’t the fastest guy, but he was hard to take down. He was always swinging that ball around, keeping the plays alive.”
Steelers fans will likely enjoy hearing the comments from Rodgers, because Roethlisberger is one of the most popular players in team history.
He led the franchise to two Super Bowls over 18 years as their starting quarterback.
Via @chris_ferland (in 2024): “With Ben Roethlisberger bringing back his podcast, I think today is a good day for a Big Ben appreciation post 🔥🔥 5,440 completions (5th all time) 🔥 64,088 yards (5th all time) 🔥 418 TDs (8th all time) 🔥 7.6 Yards per Pass 🔥 93.5 Career Passer Rating 🔥 2x Super Bowl Champ 🔥 6x Pro Bowler 🔥”
As for Rodgers, he has also spent time with the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets.
At 41, he still remains one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
