Could Rodgers Announce His Decision on the Pat McAfee Show?

Rodgers routinely appears as a guest on The Pat McAfee Show, and if he’s on the program on Tuesday as he regularly is, then this could be the moment that everyone was waiting for. If it’s not, then the saga will continue for an indefinite amount of time. Considering Rodgers has had ample time to make a decision, this seems like a convenient time to make the next move in the media’s eye.

Jets Looking To Add Familiar Faces

For as talented as Rodgers is, part of the headache that comes with doing business with him is he likes to play with familiar faces. That especially includes veteran receivers Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets are “closing in” on a deal for Lazard and are expected to look at Cobb.

To get them, the Jets will need to release receiver Corey Davis to open cap space. Davis is better than Lazard, but for Rodgers, it’s all about comfort. This is a limiting factor with Rodgers as he, at times, has pushed to play with friends over the most talented peers.

Rodgers to the Jets ‘Done’

PFN Senior Analyst Trey Wingo reported he heard that “Rodgers to the Jets is done” on Monday afternoon, while NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said “nothing has happened” yet. We’ll know more soon enough, but it’s just a matter of time before we get more information on where Rodgers stands.
