Brady Marchese Confirms Georgia Commitment, Won’t Flip to Michigan

The Cartersville (GA) native has officially shut down all recruitment rumors. The four-star wide receiver in the 2026 class, Brady Marchese, just made headlines by reaffirming his commitment to Georgia, making head coach Kirby Smart a clear winner in this recruiting battle.

Marchese had recently taken a surprise official visit to Michigan, and several recruiting insiders predicted he was leaning toward the Wolverines. But in a dramatic twist, just hours after those predictions surfaced, the Cartersville star announced he was staying loyal to the Bulldogs.

In a report from On3 analyst Hayes Fawcett, it was revealed that he was locked in on the “‘Dawgs.”

This single move is enough to showcase how unpredictable recruiting has become, especially in today’s era where NIL offers dominate the landscape. Even when a school lands a top recruit, fans don’t get to relax. The fear of a flip is always there because rival programs keep pushing until the letter is signed on National Signing Day.

Georgia HC Kirby Smart has somehow managed to build one of the nation’s most consistent and dominant programs, and that doesn’t come by chance. Right now, Georgia holds the No. 5 recruiting class and aims to land a top-3 class for the 10th year in a row.

Ranked as the No. 42 wide receiver and No. 250 overall prospect in the 2026 class, Marchese brings elite speed, clocked at over 22 mph, and crisp route-running to Georgia’s already loaded recruiting class. He joins fellow wideouts Vance Spafford and Ryan Mosley as part of a trio that could reshape the Bulldogs’ receiving corps in the coming years.

The timing of Marchese’s announcement is a major win for Georgia, especially during the heart of the official visit season. With 13 commitments now locked in, the Bulldogs currently boast one of the top-ranked classes in the nation.
