Novak Djokovic is facing Jannik Sinner in the semifinals of the French Open. Following his recent split with Andy Murray, who coached him at the start of the season, the Serb made some strategic changes in his team. Here’s everything to know about the new faces backing Djokovic in his pursuit to win a record 25th Grand Slam title.
Who is Coaching Novak Djokovic After His Split With Andy Murray?
After a turbulent clay-court season that included early exits in Monte Carlo and Madrid, Djokovic ended his partnership with Andy Murray. The Serb competed at the Geneva Open with two new familiar faces, namely Dusan Vemic and Boris Bosnjakovic.
“Dusan Vemic, who is actually the Serbian Billie Jean King Cup captain — but he was part of my coaching team years ago with Marian — he’s here, so he’s going to be here with me in Geneva and Roland Garros. And Boris Bosnjakovic, who is my assistant coach and analyst as well, so they’re both going to kind of share that role for the next couple tournaments, and then we’ll see,” the 24-time Grand Slam champion said in a press conference at the Geneva Open.
Former player Dusan Vemic has worked with Novak Djokovic before and currently captains Serbia’s Billie Jean King Cup team. Boris Bosnjaković, on the other hand, led the Novak Tennis Centre before becoming Djokovic’s analyst‑assistant in 2024.
Besides them, the Serb’s team also includes physiotherapist Miljan Amanovic and his fitness trainer Gephard Gritsch.

John McEnroe Makes Prediction Regarding Djokovic-Sinner Clash
Speaking before Djokovic’s ninth match against World No.1 Jannik Sinner, tennis great John McEnroe said that the progress the Serb has shown so far isn’t enough, as he will have to level up his game in order to defeat the Italian.
“It would make sense [for Djokovic to win his 25th Grand Slam in 2025]. As time goes on, even he you would think it’d get tougher for, but this is gonna get a whole lot tougher — I got news for you. Sinner’s come to play, he’s playing incredible tennis. Alcaraz was electric as well [in his quarter-final against Tommy Paul], I expect him to beat Musetti. So he is gonna have to rise to the occasion even more and play even better to win this tournament, Novak,” he said, as quoted by Tennis365.
Whoever out of Djokovic or Sinner wins, will take on Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open final.
