The Philadelphia Eagles’ CB Eli Ricks was gushing over Ivanka Trump after the team visited President Donald Trump at the White House. Trump’s daughter and his former advisor have now returned the favor by visiting Ricks’ locker, and while he wasn’t present at the moment, she dropped a sweet note for the Eagles’ corner.
Ivanka Trump’s Sweet Handwritten Note for Eagles’ Eli Ricks
The Eagles finally got to celebrate winning the Super Bowl by traveling to the White House and visiting President Trump in April 2025. However, one of the stories coming out of the visit was Ricks’ posting a pair of tweets about his experience and seeing President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka.
“Donald trump daughter is beautiful damn. After seeing her in person, Ivanka is exactly my type,” he posted on X.

Ivanka returned the favor by visiting his locker and left a handwritten note for him.
“Stopped by to say hi. Sorry to miss you! Go Birds!,” the note read.
Ricks was flattered by the gesture, but in his response, he appeared to be proposing a dinner date.
“My apologies🤦♀️, I owe you a glass of wine now xx! 🍷,” he wrote.

Whether this is just the two of them teasing each other or if there is something serious happening here remains to be seen. But it’s worth noting that Ivanka has been married to Jared Kushner since 2009 and the pair have three children: Theo, Arabella, and Joseph.
Ricks was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Eagles in 2023 out of LSU and Alabama. He played 16 games in 2023 and seven in 2024, registering 21 tackles and three pass breakups, with most of his snaps coming on special teams.
Donald Trump Endorses Philadelphia Eagles Continuing the Tush Push
While speaking during the Eagles’ visit to the White House, President Trump stated that he wants to continue seeing the Tush Push as an option.
“I hope they keep that play, Coach. They’re talking about getting rid of that play, I understand. They should keep it. … I like it. It’s sort of exciting and different.”
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni would open his statement by thanking the President of the United States for being a proponent of the Tush Push.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for having us here. And we also appreciate the endorsement for the Tush Push.”
The NFL has tabled the vote until May on whether the play would be banned beginning with the 2025 season. In order for the play to be officially banned by the league, 24 of the 32 owners would need to vote to remove it.
The Eagles made the play popular and have, by far, been the most successful with it. PFSN’s Sterling Xie wrote recently about the Tush Push and stated that, despite the data regarding its success rate not being publicly available, the conversions around the league are beginning to drop.
It was also reported earlier this year that there were zero injuries as a result of the Tush Push, noteworthy considering player safety has been one of the reasons cited during the quest to outlaw the play.
We’ll have to wait until the league votes to see if the Tush Push will still be an option for the upcoming season. But we already know that the Commander in Chief is a fan of the play remaining in the NFL.
