The Las Vegas Aces have been around with many different names since being founded in 1997. However, a rebrand began in the 2018 season, coinciding with drafting A’ja Wilson, that put them on a trajectory to be one of the best franchises in the league.
Since then, they’ve won three conference championships and two WNBA championships, while Wilson has solidified herself as the undisputed best player in the world. After a disappointing 2024 season, the team was hard at work to rebound, tweaking its roster to once again reach championship status this season.
The 2025 Las Vegas Aces Roster
The fourth season under Becky Hammon as head coach is set to begin for the Aces, and so far, the returns have been undeniably excellent.
However, after failing to secure the No. 1 seed or win the WNBA Finals for the first time under their new head coach, especially with a semifinals loss, the front office and management were quick to make some roster adjustments.
In the draft, they added Aaliyah Nye and Harmoni Turner to the team to shore up their guard rotation, while making key trades to land Jewell Loyd and Dana Evans on the roster as well. Another key move was trading Kelsey Plum as part of a three-teamer that saw them land Loyd on the roster.
After an offseason full of changes, here is what the roster looks like for Las Vegas heading into the 2025 season.
| Guards | Forwards | Centers |
| Jackie Young | Kierstan Bell | Megan Gustafson |
| Deja Kelly | Queen Egbo | A’ja Wilson |
| Tiffany Mitchell | Crystal Bradford | Elizabeth Kitley |
| Dana Evans | Aaliyah Nye | Kiah Stokes |
| Chelsea Gray | Cheyenne Parker-Tyus | |
| Harmoni Turner | ||
| Jewell Loyd |
Wilson will be doing most of the heavy lifting on the roster as the reigning MVP, but the team has done a good job filling out the rest of the squad with quality players at every position.
With Parker-Tyus set to miss a large chunk of the season with pregnancy, expectations will be high on Bradford and their rookie, Nye, to hold down the forward spot. But the team has done an admirable job of building out its guard rotation to stymy any lapses.
Thanks to Young and Loyd, they have two experienced scorers who can help carry the offense alongside Wilson. While Young averaged nearly 16 points a game last year, Loyd upped her scoring to almost 20.
Add in over nine assists from the pair combined, and the recipe for a high-flying offense is clear in Vegas. With a good collection of rookies and solid depth pieces in Evans and Gray, the Aces look like a far more complete roster than they did last season.
Perhaps, that could be the trick to take them over the hump in 2025.
