Napheesa Collier’s WNBA Contract and Career Earnings: What Is the Minnesota Lynx Star’s Salary?

What is Napheesa Collier's net worth? Let's take a look at her WNBA contract, career earnings, prize money from Unrivaled, endorsement deals, and more.

Napheesa Collier has been a significant force in the WNBA, making big plays on and off the court. Collier, 28, co-founded the Unrivaled basketball league with fellow star Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty. That move helped solidify her place as one of the league’s top talents. Thanks to her salary, endorsement deals, and Unrivaled income, Collier’s net worth is around $1.5 million.

She’s been named a WNBA All-Star four straight times and helped lead UConn to four Final Fours. She was also part of Team USA’s gold-medal runs at the Paris and Tokyo Olympics.

A Closer Look at the Minnesota Lynx Star Napheesa Collier’s Salary

Collier is signed with the Minnesota Lynx through 2025 on a three-year, $552,516 max extension. That’s an average of $184,172 annually, including a 2025 base salary of $214,284. The deal, part of her post-rookie extension signed in May 2022, puts her among the highest-paid WNBA forwards in 2025, sixth overall among frontcourt players.

The Lynx are counting on Collier’s leadership to push for a title this season. The team also re-signed Jessica Shepard, aiming to make a strong playoff run.

According to Spotrac, Collier has earned $696,798 in salary since entering the WNBA as the sixth overall pick in 2019. After this season, that total should rise past $860,000.

Collier’s three-year extension was signed in May 2022. The total value was $552,516, averaging $184,172 per season. She’ll become an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

Her 2025 base salary is $214,284, which takes up about 14.2% of the Lynx’s $1.5 million salary cap for the year.

Among all WNBA forwards, Collier’s latest base pay positions her at sixth on the list for the 2025 season. This places her behind some of the most recognizable big names like Breanna Stewart and Myisha Hines-Allen.

The perennial All-Star signed her 2019 rookie contract for $220,235, with a base salary of $49,539. The contract was till 2022, and her base salary increased each season. However, her earnings remained low. She made around $57,000 in 2020 and $58,710 in 2021. The following year, she ramped it up to $72,141 in 2022.

After 2022, Collier’s upfront cash earnings skyrocketed to $202,154 in 2023 and $208,219 in 2024. After adding this season’s base salary of $214,284, her cumulative cash from this contract will total $696,798.

As of the end of the 2024 season, Collier’s career on-court earnings amount to $647,763. Meanwhile, if we add her 2025 salary of $214,284, her career earnings will be north of $860,000.

Napheesa Collier Market Comparison Among WNBA Forwards

Collier’s $214,284 slots her behind five forwards, including Liberty’s Breanna Stewart ($208,400) and Dallas Wings’ Myisha Hines-Allen ($203,000), and just ahead of Dearica Hamby and DeWanna Bonner. Her average annual value of $184,172 places her in the top half of contract averages for WNBA forwards during this free agency cycle.

Her salary places her among the top 20 earners globally, league-wide, without question, an indication of her high-level production on the court and her market demand in a league that is still developing its revenue-sharing paradigm.

Outside of her WNBA salary, Collier has added income from other ventures. In 2025, she launched Unrivaled with Stewart, a 3-on-3 women’s basketball league that offers more playing opportunities and better pay.

“We have more leverage now than we’ve ever had as women’s basketball players. Our last CBA, we were really proud of it, [it] was a huge step up from where we were before that, but we obviously saw a lot of things that we wanted to change in that,” she told CNBC.

With unrestricted free agency looming in the next two WNBA off-seasons hitting in 2026, if Collier continues her All-Star form on and off the court, she will grab a more lucrative deal shortly.
