Dillon Gabriel’s Contract, Salary, and Net Worth: How Much Is the Browns’ Rookie QB Making?

The Cleveland Browns drafted Dillon Gabriel with the 94th pick in the 2025 NFL draft. What is the value of his contract as a third-round draft pick?

Dillon Gabriel was one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft, spending six seasons in college football with three different programs. He heard his name called in the third round of the draft, landing in a controversial situation in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Browns drafted Dillon Gabriel in the third round of the 2025 draft, joining a quarterback room featuring veteran Joe Flacco, Deshaun Watson, and the recently acquired Kenny Pickett via trade. The Browns then went back into the pool in the fifth round to select Shedeur Sanders.

Gabriel spent three years at UCF before an injury ended his junior season, then he transferred to Oklahoma. After two seasons there, he entered the transfer portal again, this time opting to play for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. Gabriel threw for 18,722 passing yards in his college career, with 155 passing touchdowns to his name.

What is Dillon Gabriel’s salary and net worth?

Per Spotrac, Dillon Gabriel will sign a four-year, $6,223,338 contract with the Browns. His signing bonus will be $1,166,063, with yearly earnings of $1,555,835.

As he wasn’t drafted in the first round, Gabriel will become a free agent after four seasons in Cleveland, unless he signs an extension beforehand.

Gabriel’s NIL deals and valuation

According to On3 Sports, Gabriel’s NIL valuation is $1.9 million. He has signed deals with EA Sports, Uber, and Celsius, a deal he signed along with five other college football players, including Jalen Milroe and Emeka Egbuka.

The GLD Shop, a jewelry brand that works closely with athletes, shared a partnership with Gabriel on their Instagram account on July 12, 2024.

Gabriel has 169,000 followers on Instagram and 68,700 followers on X (formerly Twitter).

After being drafted with the 94th pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Dillon Gabriel became the fourth quarterback on the Browns roster. Not long after, it became five. Two rounds later, Cleveland GM Andrew Berry also drafted Shedeur Sanders, who had slipped into the fifth round.

Selecting two quarterbacks in the same draft will set up a camp battle that begins at rookie minicamp. There likely won’t be space on the Browns roster for both quarterbacks, even with Deshaun Watson likely landing on Injured Reserve for the entire 2025 season.

Gabriel will look to learn from 17-year veteran Joe Flacco, who has worked with several young quarterbacks around the league, including Lamar Jackson and Anthony Richardson. Flacco played for the Browns in 2023 before heading to Indianapolis last season.

Flacco is expected to cover for Deshaun Watson in 2025, but there will be opportunities for Gabriel to earn playing time as the season goes on.

Preview for Eagles vs. Browns Week 2 Preseason Game

Shedeur Sanders made his NFL preseason debut against the Carolina Panthers last week. However, he will not play today against the Philadelphia Eagles due to an oblique injury.

Gabriel will make his first appearance in the NFL today against the Eagles and will be under immense pressure to perform. He will share game time with Tyler Huntley, but the former Oregon quarterback should have enough time to leave an impression.

As for the Eagles, Tanner McKee played exceptionally well for them last week. He is unlikely to play against the Browns as the reigning Super Bowl champions have already seen enough good displays from him.

The game against the Eagles will be a tough matchup for the Browns, who won 30-10 against the Panthers last week. Gabriel playing well will make things tougher for Kevin Stefanski, and seeing how things pan out will be interesting.
