Quarterback Drake Maye’s first season with the New England Patriots might have passed without him getting a ring, but he still made sure that by the end of it, his girlfriend had a ring on her finger. Maye got down on his knee and proposed to his longtime girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson on January 15, 2025, in Cancún, Mexico, during their vacation.
Hudson shared their dreamy beachside engagement pictures on Instagram, captioning, “Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!” Although the couple hasn’t announced their wedding date yet, Hudson’s recent Instagram pictures hint that it might not be too distant.
Drake Maye’s Fiancée, Ann Michael Hudson Thrilled for Her Wedding
Hudson shared her excitement for their D-Day as their engagement recently completed three months. “Counting down the days,” Hudson wrote on Instagram, re-sharing some of her pictures from their engagement, where the couple had matching white outfits. Hudson met Maye long before he was a football star.
The two are adorable childhood sweethearts, having been together since they were in middle school. They reportedly started dating in 2015 when they were around 12 years old. Both of them got into the University of North Carolina, where Hudson was a business school student with a double minor in entrepreneurship and conflict management at UNC, and Maye majored in Business Administration, Management, and Operations while setting the school’s record for the most passing yards in a single season.

Ann Michael Hudson Is Equally Connected With Sports
Just as his boyfriend Maye, Hudson has sports in her blood. Maye’s father, Mark Maye, was a quarterback at the University of North Carolina and played briefly in the NFL. His mother, Aimee Maye, was an excellent high school basketball player. Maye’s three brothers are also into college sports.
Similarly, Hudson’s father played football for Wofford College, and her younger brother, Tad, played for the UNC Tar Heels. Tad ended up being teammates with Maye, serving as one of his backup quarterbacks during the 2023 season. In 2024, however, Tad left UNC to play at Coastal Carolina University.
Hudson was also particularly active in sports during her high school years. She was a team captain for the varsity softball, field hockey, and cheerleading teams. In 2022, she worked as the assistant coach at Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation for the 10-and-under girls’ softball team.
As Maye continues to strive for success in his NFL career with the Patriots, fans would be equally thrilled about his wedding to Hudson.
