Shedeur Sanders Gives Blunt 6-Word Pitch to Titans’ Front Office Arguing Why He Should Go No. 1 in 2025 NFL Draft

Shedeur Sanders made his case as the No. 1 pick with a bold six-word pitch to the Titans. See why he believes he's the franchise-changer Tennessee needs.

The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a battle at the top, and Shedeur Sanders is making sure his name stays at the center of the conversation. The former Colorado star has been one of the most scrutinized prospects at the NFL Scouting Combine, but if there’s one thing that’s been clear throughout the process, it’s that Sanders isn’t backing down from the moment.

With the Tennessee Titans holding the No. 1 overall pick, Sanders made his case loud and clear. When asked why he should be selected first over his former teammate, two-way sensation Travis Hunter, Sanders gave a six-word pitch that left social media buzzing.

Shedeur Sanders’ Blunt 6-Word Pitch to the Titans

During an interview with Josina Anderson, Sanders didn’t hesitate when asked why he should be the No. 1 pick over Hunter. His response was direct and confident: “Why I should go No. 1?” Sanders asked before giving his six-word pitch: “Do you want your franchise changed?”

Sanders continued, “I know I’ve done it, two times, Colorado and Jackson State. So, nobody else had done that here besides Travis.”

It’s the same argument Sanders has been making since declaring for the draft — he’s not just a quarterback, he’s a game-changer. He doesn’t just want to be the face of a franchise; he wants to transform it.

Sanders Has Been Repeating the Same Message All Week

Sanders didn’t just make his case in one interview, and has been reinforcing this message throughout the NFL Combine. During his press conference, he had another strong statement about why he believes he should be the first quarterback off the board.

“If you’re not trying to change the franchise or the culture, don’t get me,” Sanders said. “We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back to back. Don’t you think I could come to an NFL franchise and change a program again? It’s history, it’s always going to repeat itself.”

His confidence is undeniable. Sanders isn’t just selling himself as the most talented quarterback in the draft — he’s selling himself as a leader, a culture-setter, and someone who can elevate a struggling franchise.

Will the Tennessee Titans Take the Bait?

The Titans have a major decision to make at No. 1, with some experts predicting them to actually trade down from the first overall pick. According to the latest PFSN mock draft, the Las Vegas Raiders are expected to trade up and take Sanders first overall, but if the Titans keep the pick, they’ll have to weigh Sanders’ leadership and production against other top prospects like Hunter and Cam Ward.

One thing’s for sure — Sanders isn’t just hoping to be the No. 1 pick. He’s demanding it. And with the draft fast approaching, it’s up to Tennessee to decide if he’s the franchise-changer they’ve been looking for.
