For much of the first half of the 2023 season, the Philadelphia Eagles were one of the best teams in the NFL. However, as the season went on, things began to unravel, setting up a disappointing early playoff exit.
After an eventful offseason, headlined by the addition of RB Saquon Barkley, the Eagles enter 2024 with far greater aspirations than how last season unfolded. Today, however, we take a look at their upcoming slate and predict the losses on their schedule.
Philadelphia Eagles’ 2024 Season Schedule
With a slate that includes opening the season against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, Philadelphia’s annual division battles against the Cowboys, and the NFC North on the schedule, the 2024 season is filled with potential land mines for the Eagles this year.
Week 1: vs. Green Bay Packers
Week 2: vs. Atlanta Falcons
Week 3: at New Orleans Saints
Week 4: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 5: BYE WEEK
Week 6: vs. Cleveland Browns
Week 7: at New York Giants
Week 8: at Cincinnati Bengals
Week 9: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 10: at Dallas Cowboys
Week 11: vs. Washington Commanders
Week 12: at Los Angeles Rams
Week 13: at Baltimore Ravens
Week 14: vs. Carolina Panthers
Week 15: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 16: at Washington Commanders
Week 17: vs. Dallas Cowboys
Week 18: vs. New York Giants
Predicting the Eagles’ Losses This Season
Week 6: vs. Cleveland Browns
The first loss predicted for the Eagles this season doesn’t come until Week 6, following a 4-0 start and with a bye week in between. With a first month of the year that includes matchups against the Packers (in Brazil) and the Buccaneers, who ended their season last year, coming out of that stretch unscathed is very impressive.
However, the Browns and their tenacious defense led by Myles Garrett is where it stops. Cleveland has the offensive firepower to put pressure on Philadelphia’s secondary and a defensive group that could give Hurts fits all afternoon. It won’t be a blowout by any means, but the Browns find a way to hand the Eagles their first loss of the year in Week 6.
Week 8: at Cincinnati Bengals
By their second loss here, the Eagles have gotten back on track and taken care of business against the division rival New York Giants in Week 7. However, Week 8 on the road in Cincy against Joe Burrow and Co. provides drama and their second loss of the year.
Once again, Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Cincinnati’s efficient passing attack become a bit too much for Philadelphia’s secondary as they stumble on the road. The Eagles head into Week 9 with a 5-2 record, and despite being in good shape, two losses in three weeks will have Philadelphia’s lovely fans talking a bit louder.
Week 10: at Dallas Cowboys
This is an intense rivalry, probably more so for the fans than the players on the field, but nonetheless, it’s the first important divisional matchup of the year. The reality is that both teams know each other well, setting up what should be an excellent clash in 2024.

These teams routinely split their series, and with the first one coming in Dallas, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Cowboys squeak out the first meeting before the late-season matchup that takes place in January back on Philly’s turf.
Week 13: at Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson and Co. are a tough draw for anyone. The Ravens, wire-to-wire, looked like the best team in football in 2023, and it’s hard to sit here and pick against them, no matter the opponent.
The Eagles head into the matchup 8-3 on the season after winning back-to-back games against the Commanders and Rams following the Cowboys’ loss.
However, Philadelphia will suffer its fourth and final loss of the season on the road in Baltimore against a quality opponent. Jackson and the Ravens’ offensive attack become a bit too much for the Eagles to handle and continue a tough stretch against the AFC North that has Philadelphia finishing the year 1-3 against the division.
2024 Eagles record prediction: 13-4
Potential Wild Card Games on the Eagles’ Schedule
Week 1: vs. Green Bay Packers
The Packers are a young and exciting team led by budding star Jordan Love. While Week 1 in a foreign country is a lot to ask of anyone, that is especially the case for a young team.
Despite the Eagles getting the nod here originally, Green Bay has proven to be just as talented and young enough to be unfazed by scenarios and narratives.

A team that is loose, able to rise to the occasion, and not fear the moment, will always be a dangerous team. In the Packers’ case, that is who they appear to be right now, setting up a slippery opening week game for the Eagles.
Week 4: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Philadelphia is more talented than Tampa Bay, that much is clear. However, they were last year as well, and that didn’t stop Baker Mayfield and Co. from ending the Eagles’ season in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
The Bucs are talented enough to be okay but are an incredibly scrappy bunch that shouldn’t be overlooked. If the Eagles play their A game, they should handle business. But if they don’t, Tampa Bay may be able to catch them slipping once again.
Week 12: at Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are a sneaky good team that can win on any given Sunday. With the offensive group led by Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua, alongside head coach Sean Mcvay, the Rams are going to be able to cause fits for teams each and every week.
The Eagles should be able to take this one. As we mentioned before, in most cases, they are the more talented team. However, flying across the country against a well-coached football team later in the season could be a recipe for a slip-up.
