Players To Watch During Arizona’s Pro Day 2024: Jordan Morgan, Jacob Cowing Aim To Cement Draft Status

Jordan Morgan and Jacob Cowing could help boost their stock with a good showing at the Arizona Pro Day ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft cycle is in full swing and now enters one of the final steps of the evaluation process before the event takes place at the end of April.

Fifteen former Wildcats are listed to participate at the Arizona Pro Day on March 14th, including two potential early picks in offensive tackle Jordan Morgan and wide receiver Jacob Cowing.

Arizona Pro Day 2024

Jordan Morgan, Offensive Tackle

Jordan Morgan’s draft stock has flirted with Round 1 and seems right on the fringe of that mark. He tested well at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis earlier this month with a 5.04 40-yard dash and likely wants to improve on that time in front of scouts at the Arizona Pro Day.

His pro day showing likely won’t change his draft stock significantly either way, but if he can put in a good showing at the agility drills at the Arizona Pro Day (if he tests there), that would help ease some of the concerns about him at tackle.

Jacob Cowing, Wide Receiver

Jacob Cowing posted a great time at the NFL Combine, running a 4.38 40-yard dash and backing up the speed he showed on film.

He can’t improve his small size at the Arizona Pro Day, but he can continue to show his ability as a route-runner and display better hands at the throwing drills to help boost his stock.

Michael Wiley, Running Back

Michael Wiley is one of the best receiving backs in the 2024 NFL Draft class, but was limited at the NFL Combine after suffering a thumb injury at the Senior Bowl and couldn’t show his full ability in Indianapolis.

Hopefully, He can show more at the Arizona Pro Day and reinforce this lackluster running back class.

Tanner McLachlan, Tight End

Tanner McLachlan surprised many with how well he tested at the NFL Combine, showing perhaps more upside than what was on his film.

McLachlan needs to continue to show his value as a receiver in drills and display better fluidity as a route-runner, but he’s firmly in draftable territory in a mixed tight end class.

Other players who will work out during the Arizona Pro Day include QB Jayden de Laura, DB Martell Irby, DL Tyler Manoa, LB Jeremy Mercier, RB Nazar Bombata, OL Sam Langi, LS Seth MacKellar, DL Sio Nofoagatoto’a, LB Taylor Upshaw, RB DJ Williams, and CB Dylan Wyatt
