The NFL Weather Forecast has been reasonable to us this week, with only one game looking to be impacted. Which game could be dicey from a weather perspective, and should fantasy football managers be concerned for their options because of it?
All times listed are Eastern Time. Forecasts for Week 5 are supplied by reports from the National Weather Service (Met Office for London Weather).
The weather forecast is correct as of 9:30 a.m. ET Saturday and will be updated as needed.

Week 5 NFL Weather Report Fantasy Impact
Jacksonville Jaguars at Buffalo Bills | Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-70s
- Showers: <5% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 6-7 mph southwesterly
If any of your friends have told you that the weather in England is always bad, you might want to reconsider listening to them. For the second straight week, the NFL will have a lovely day in London with a less than 5% chance of rain, nice temperatures, and next to no wind.

There is always the concern that a trip to London could mean we see fantasy matches impacted by wet weather, but that has not been the case this year. If you have any fantasy options playing in this game, the weather should not be a reason to avoid them.
New York Giants at Miami Dolphins | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-80s
- Showers: 65% chance at kickoff with a chance of Thunderstorms
- Wind: 7 mph westerly
The weather forecast in Miami is not quite so rosy. Sure, it will be warm, and there will be no wind, but there is a greater than 60% chance of rain throughout the game. Fortunately, rain does not tend to have an impact on fantasy options. It can lead to a few ball security issues and a handful more drops, but it isn’t an impact.
The frustration could be the potential thunderstorms. However, even then, those are more of an annoyance for the teams and fans in the stadium. Other than the potential for thunderstorms to make this a stop-start encounter, it shouldn’t be anything fantasy managers worry about too much.
New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Low-60s
- Showers: <5% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 13 mph westerly, with gusts up to 24 mph
Up in the Northeast, it looks like we will have a nice autumn New England day. There is some rain forecast overnight and into Sunday morning, but that should be long gone by kickoff. The gust up to 24mph could have an impact on the deep passing and kicking game, but it shouldn’t be a major impact unless they turn into sustained winds.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers | Sunday, 1 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Low-50s
- Showers: <5% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 15 mph westerly
Fittingly for a game between the Ravens and Steelers, there will be a beginning of winter-type feel in Pittsburgh. The temperature will be around 50 degrees, but the wind could give it a more wintery feel.
The 15mph winds are higher than we would like, but they should not impact the game. The good news is that the weather should be consistent through three quarters. Things could get a little dicey in the fourth quarter with the potential for wind and rain, but things shouldn’t be too bad.
New York Jets at Denver Broncos | Sunday, 4:25 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-70s
- Showers: <5% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 8 mph northeasterly
The afternoon slate will also bring an autumn day in the Rockies, with the only outdoor game on the slate looking set for fair weather.

The sky should be clear for the Nathaniel Hackett Bowl. The biggest threat in this game could be the sun getting in the eyes of the players.
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers | Sunday, 8:20 p.m.
- Expected Temperature: Mid-70s
- Showers: <5% chance at kickoff
- Wind: 16 mph northwesterly, gusts up to 24 mph
The final game of the day could see the either get a little spicy in terms of the wind. Temperature and precipitation-wise, there is nothing to worry about. However, gusts up to 24 mph are somewhat of a concern to the passing game. The impact shouldn’t be sustained, so passing shouldn’t suffer too much, but it is a minor consideration for anyone involved in the passing game.
