Forget winning a game, the immediate goal for the Giants should be to score a point. Getting shut out at home was not the way the G-Men envisioned their season beginning. The Cardinals’ defense played well last Sunday in a loss and will need a similar effort today to get a win. Let’s look at the odds for this matchup.

Game Prediction
It’s difficult to imagine the Giants playing any worse than they did in Week 1. The Cardinals’ effort, while strong, was somewhat surprising. It is easy to expect a Giants rebound from the embarrassment of last Sunday, while you have to wonder just how much better the Cardinals are going to get.

Josh Dobbs was fairly unimpressive against the Commanders last week. He completed 70% of his pass attempts but for only 4.4 yards per attempt, and he fumbled three times. However, Daniel Jones was even less impressive for the Giants last week, with 104 yards passing, two interceptions, and two fumbles of his own.
Yes, this Giants team should be able to rebound off a disastrous Week 1 performance. But I’m not ready to lay more than a field goal for a team that finished 1-4 in its final five road games last season.
The Cardinals may not give you much, but they should give you enough to keep this game closer than people think.
Best Bet: Cardinals +4.5 (-112 at DraftKings SportsBook)
