Game Prediction

After giving up 536 total yards to the Dolphins in Week 1, including 466 through the air, the Chargers’ defense gets to show if they can improve against a Titans team that was held out of the end zone last week.

Tennessee’s Ryan Tannehill had arguably the worst game of any quarterback in the NFL in Week 1. Along with completing less than half of his passes (16-for-34) for less than 200 yards (198), Tannehill also threw three interceptions. His passer rating of 28.8 was the lowest in the NFL last week.

Los Angeles was embarrassed by the Dolphins’ passing game, which was a big surprise, considering the Chargers had a top-10 passing defense in 2022 (seventh).

The Titans, on the other hand, had the league’s worst pass defense last season, and the Saints’ Derek Carr threw for over 300 yards against Tennessee last week.

Coming home after a disappointing effort in Week 1 at New Orleans should help out Tennessee. But the Chargers, who were just as disappointing at home, did well on the road last season, going 7-3 against the spread (playoffs included).

At the end of the day, I’m going to trust Justin Herbert to get his team right a little more than Tannehill. A lot more, actually.

Best Bet: Chargers -2.5 (-118 at DraftKings SportsBook)
