Game Prediction

The Raiders would love to open their season with a pair of road wins, but considering they haven’t won in Buffalo in over 20 years (2002), it’s fair to say history is not on their side on that goal.

What I think can be counted on in this matchup is scoring. While the Bills’ Josh Allen has faced criticism all week for his mistakes on Monday night (three interceptions, lost fumble), he isn’t facing the Jets’ defense today.

Las Vegas’ defense did a good job overall in Week 1, holding the Broncos to only 260 total yards. But Denver QB Russell Wilson did finish with a passer rating of 108.0, so the Raiders’ defense can be vulnerable.

As for the Bills, the last time they were held under 20 points came last year at the Jets, when they managed just 17 points. The next week, Buffalo hung 30 on the Vikings at home, albeit in a loss.

See where I’m going here?

Each of the last seven meetings in this series has had a combined total of 47 points or greater. I think the streak runs to eight straight meetings today.

Best Bet: Over on 47 points (-110 at DraftKings SportsBook)
