The Chicago Bears acquired WR DJ Moore from the Carolina Panthers this offseason in an attempt to surround QB Justin Fields with playmakers. But will Moore’s move to the Windy City equal a breakout fantasy football season in 2023?

DJ Moore’s Fantasy Outlook for the 2023 NFL Season
Moore has been a good WR stuck in a bad offense for the majority of his NFL career.
During his five seasons in a Panthers uniform, Carolina has seen eight different starting QBs, but Moore still managed to produce fantasy finishes of WR39, WR16, WR23, WR18, and WR24 in PPR formats.
Moore is WR that can win on all three levels of the field and runs a full route tree. Not to mention, he is one of the better yards-after-the-catch weapons in the NFL, finishing inside the top 20 in YAC production in two out of the last three seasons.
Well, that dynamic playmaking ability was on display with his first reception in a Bears uniform…

Moore is in line to be featured in this passing attack with arguably the best QB he’s ever played with.
Is Moore a Good Fantasy Pick?
Moore is coming off the board in the WR2 range as the WR23. Considering he hasn’t finished below the WR24 in PPR formats since his rookie season, he is currently being drafted at his fantasy floor.
If you don’t believe Moore or Fields is a great talent, then this is probably the right price.

However, if you believe Fields could explode with a true WR1 on the roster and believe Moore was being held back by terrible QB play in Carolina, then there is a ton of upside when you decide to use your fifth-round pick on him.
To me, he is a safe pick in the fifth round and has legitimate upside to finish as a top-10 fantasy WR for the first time in his NFL career.
