When is the Washington State Pro Day in 2022?

  • Date: Monday, March 28
  • Time: TBD

Currently, nine players are slated to perform at Washington State’s Pro Day. The event will be held at the Cougars’ outdoor turf field in Martin Stadium. The prospects expected to participate include RBs Max Borghi and Deon McIntosh, WRs Travell Harris and Calvin Jackson Jr., LB Jahad Woods, safeties Daniel Isom, Tyrone Hill Jr., and George Hicks III, offensive lineman Liam Ryan, and quarterback Jarrett Guarantano.

Top Washington State NFL Draft prospects working out at Pro Day

Three Cougars were invited to the 2022 NFL Combine, and at least two should be selected in the NFL Draft. Nevertheless, who are the top prospects you should keep an eye on before and after Washington State’s Pro Day?

Abraham Lucas, OT

Abraham Lucas is Washington State’s top prospect in 2022. He is one of the most experienced pass-blocking linemen in the class, with impressive feet and mirroring ability. Still, his technique needs improvement, and his run-blocking ability isn’t a strength. Lucas put excellent numbers to his athleticism at the Combine and made himself some money. He doesn’t have anything else to prove, which is presumably why he is sitting out the pro day.

Max Borghi, RB

Max Borghi suffered an injury at the NFLPA Bowl, keeping him out of Combine workouts. However, he did complete interviews and measurements and recorded 20 reps on the bench in Indianapolis. He is expected to run the 40-yard dash and compete in agility drills — as long as he is at full health.

Borghi offers reliable receiving ability and speed to the outside, but his between-the-tackles rushing is lacking. Additionally, he has short arms and struggles to create extra yards for himself. Borghi will need to produce above-average numbers at his pro day to sneak into the back end of the draft.

Jaylen Watson, CB

Like Lucas, Jaylen Watson isn’t expected to participate at WSU’s Pro Day. His lateral agility and short-area burst are still a concern. Yet, his 4.51 40 at the Combine, 6’2″, 197-pound frame, and 32 1/4″ arms make for an enticing physical prospect, especially for Seattle Cover 3-type defenses. After a solid showing at the Senior Bowl and his Combine measurements and 40 time, Watson could be an early Day 3 pick.
