Top NFL DFS FanDuel picks for Eagles vs. Buccaneers | Lineup No. 1

This lineup assumes a blowout victory for Tampa Bay, led largely by its aerial assault. It also assumes the Eagles fail to penetrate the Bucs’ defense, optimizing value for a tertiary offensive contributor.

Tom Brady, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($16,500)

If you already believe in Tom Brady, you don’t need to read this. If you have any doubts about Brady, consult your friends, family members, or (if applicable) religious authority. You can also go to PFN’s website, where we regale readers with all the reasons why the NFL’s most prolific regular-season and postseason quarterback is a solid bet this weekend. And if you have a DFS MVP slot, put him there.

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($14,500)

It doesn’t take much to feed Mike Evans. He was a back-end WR1 last year despite playing in a stacked offense. It’s a little less stacked these days. Evans has a good chance to crack 10 targets. Given his talent, usage, and enormous upside, he makes sense in this lineup.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($13,000)

If Rob Gronkowski could have remained healthy this season (a big “if” based on his notable injury history), he would have had a shot at overall TE1 honors — something he last achieved in 2015 when he averaged 17.0 fantasy points per game. This year, he averaged 14.3, though. If we discount the Week 8 game when he exited with an injury after only 1 target, he averaged 15.6.

In other words, Gronk’s former “greatness” is still on display. Maybe he’s lost a step. But maybe not entirely. He remains an elite fantasy TE when healthy, and he belongs in DFS lineups.

Tyler Johnson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($8,000)

Another Buc? Yes, another Buc. Again, this lineup assumes a blowout victory. When these two teams last met, Tampa Bay led 28-7 late in the third quarter before Philadelphia made things more interesting. With Chris Godwin sidelined, Antonio Brown released, and Cyril Grayson ailing, the next wave of Buccaneer receivers will need to step up.

Tyler Johnson has 4+ receptions on 6+ targets in each of his last three games. Still no touchdowns on the year, but he’s coming off a strong Week 18 performance with an 87% snap share. Johnson is someone you can’t afford to sleep on.

Quez Watkins, WR, Philadelphia Eagles ($8,000)

When the Bucs were crushing the Eagles earlier this season, Quez Watkins somehow rose to the top, leading his team with 44 receiving yards. We say “somehow” because the 23-year-old has been hit-or-miss — mostly miss — in his second professional season. However, he has the skill set to be a top-three receiver in this offense, and if Sunday’s game gets out of hand, he might earn garbage-time points.

Top NFL DFS FanDuel picks for Eagles vs. Buccaneers | Lineup No. 2

Our second lineup assumes a more narrow victory by Tampa Bay, as the Eagles’ starting quarterback puts his team on his back. Brady remains in the DFS MVP slot, Jalen Hurts replaces Evans, and Jalen Reagor replaces Watkins.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles ($16,000)

If you want an elite passing attack, the Eagles won’t help you. If you want unconventional fantasy production, Hurts is your guy. Despite being 23rd in passing touchdowns (1 TD behind Baker Mayfield and 2 behind Teddy Bridgewater), Hurts is the overall QB7 in fantasy points per game. Why? Because he’s No. 1 among QBs in rushing attempts, yards, and scores.

So, while he’s not the complete package, he can generate points even when his offense breaks down. He also appears adept at deciding when to run, as his 4.6 yards before contact on rushing attempts are higher than Kyler Murray (4.3), Josh Allen (3.9), and Lamar Jackson (3.6). As long as he continues to get space, he will capitalize.

Jalen Reagor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles ($6,500)

Sometimes DFS victories occur because we zig when nearly everyone else zags. Jalen Reagor is neither safe nor high-upside. But he’s ultra-cheap. We’re simply hoping for a touchdown to help round out a top-heavy slate.

Reagor has shown off his 4.3 speed before. The Bucs defense is vulnerable against the pass. The Eagles likely will be playing from behind. There are certainly scenarios where Reagor breaks off one big play to make this investment worthwhile.
