Should You Draft Tua Tagovailoa in Fantasy Football?
The underlying metrics explain why the NFL evaluated him the way it did this offseason. He threw 15 INTs last season without a single 50-yard completion, showing a distinct lack of interest in stretching the field, not exactly new information.
Furthermore, health is naturally something to track in the unlikely instance that fantasy potential is flashed early in the season: he managed 14 games in 2025, which stands as his second-best season for availability.
The argument for drafting Tagovailoa, if you’re going to make it in a two-QB format, rests on his new ecosystem. The Falcons play indoors, offering perfect conditions for his timing-based passing style. He is also supported by three high-pedigree skill guys (Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts Sr.) who are capable of turning accurate, short-target passes into significant yardage after the catch.

Becoming the centerpiece of a meme is rarely a good thing.
It’s worse when Michael Penix Jr. (as many torn ACLs during his career as NFL victories) is the antagonist.
Tagovailoa only had a pair of top-15 finishes at the position last season, and while the supporting cast is talented, we have no proof that he can take advantage. You’re going to hear Tagovailoa’s name plenty this season, but it’ll be in propping up Mike McDaniel and the production he was able to extract from him in Miami.
There is no right answer to the “which Falcon QB has the most upside and is worth tracking” question.
