The public opinion about Justin Tucker quickly changed after allegations of sexual misconduct emerged against him. Once revered as one of the best placekickers in NFL history, he has become a topic that football fanatics would rather avoid discussing.
Now that he is trying to make a comeback, NFL fans are enraged with him and the team that gave him a shot.
Fans Angered by Justin Tucker Attempting an NFL Comeback
NFL insiders Tom Pelissero and Jordan Schultz revealed that Tucker was part of a group workout for the New York Jets’ placekicker position. In addition to the seven-time Pro Bowler, Michael Badgley and Josh Karty were also present.
The Jets are thoroughly evaluating the position, having also claimed Blake Grupe off waivers and having Jason Sanders on the practice squad.
However, fans have also done due diligence about Tucker, and some of them are furious about even giving him a chance to compete for a roster spot.

In January 2025, the Baltimore Banner published testimonies from six massage therapists who accused Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior. The incidents that allegedly happened from 2012 to 2016 involved Tucker exposing his genitals and even brushing his penis against the therapists.
While Tucker denied the allegations, the NFL suspended him for the first ten games of the 2025 season. Unfortunately, he hasn’t attempted a kick even after the suspension ended.

Amidst the allegations, Tucker has never been held legally liable for his actions. This uncomfortable reality prompted another fan to say, “I forgot that he existed, but he needs to be locked up.”

Other fans simply expressed their dissent about the possibility of Tucker taking the field again with statements like “No, Tucker, absolutely not” and “No way they are signing Justin Tucker.”

Even if Tucker is a five-time First Team All-Pro kicker and a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, some fans would rather see him out of the league because of his alleged actions, which have never been tried in court.
Other Fans Took Shots at the Jets for Even Entertaining Tucker
While most comments focused on disputing Tucker’s potential comeback, two NFL fans directed their ire toward the Jets.

The Jets’ playoff drought stretched to 15 seasons after finishing 3-14 last season, and they haven’t posted a winning record since 2015. With all the misery they’ve experienced recently, it would take more than a kicker to turn things around.
