Chet Holmgren is no stranger to social media chatter about his frame. Still, the latest NBA 2K ratings have left the Oklahoma City Thunder center in disbelief after learning that his NBA 2K27 strength rating sits at a meager 45.
This low mark puts Holmgren at the bottom of the Thunder roster in physical strength, adding salt to the wound as he trails point guard Jared McCain (52) by seven points. While the Minnesotan is baffled by the situation, fans are having a roast show online.
NBA World Reacts to Chet Holmgren’s Team-Worst NBA 2K27 Strength Rating

He won his first NBA championship with the Thunder in 2025 and earned his first All-Star selection as a Western Conference reserve in 2026.
Reacting to the strength rating, Holmgren wrote, “45 strength is crazy.”

While the 7-foot-1 rim protector might be trying not to think too much about it, the online basketball community is showing zero mercy. Fans have flooded timelines with sharper roasts and classic memes.
Sports prediction platform Onyx Odds tweeted, “Chet Holmgren: ‘ Why do I only have 45 strength in 2K27?” and along with it a SpongeBob SquarePants meme flexing a tiny, stick-like arm, mocking the big man’s reaction.
One user shared a photoshopped image of the character McLovin from Superbad onto Holmgren’s blue No. 7 jersey to roast his lanky, slender build.
“Bro looks like he gets all his calories from Red Bull.. he can’t be that surprised,” wrote a fan.
Another fan chimed in, “Honestly, after what I saw in the playoffs, he lucky he ain’t just a 45 Overall.”
”Concave chested stick figure with too high of a strength rating imo,” posted another user.
Echoing that sentiment, someone added, “His will is even weaker, and lucky 2k7 don’t rate that.”
Another blunt observer wrote, “Get in the weight room, buddy.”
“He was getting bullied by someone just as skinny as he is. Yeah, the rating is correct lol,” tweeted a third user.
Even PrizePicks, an American Daily Fantasy Sports operator, joined the pile-on, commenting, “How is bro shocked.”
While the strength rating list places Holmgren at the bottom of the barrel, he ranks quite high in the Top 100 Player Ratings in NBA 2K27, appearing at 42 with an 86 Overall, a dip from his previous 88.
Other than Holmgren, the only Thunder players in the Top 45 are his teammates Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (97) and Jalen Williams (85).
This isn’t the first time Holmgren’s constitution has drawn attention. Since his rookie days, he has been continually mocked by those who doubted his ability to withstand the NBA’s physical toll. But despite all the trolling, he consistently holds his own against the league’s heaviest centers.
