Lamar Jackson has always been a hot topic in the NFL.
Jackson’s contract with the Ravens runs through the 2027 season. However, the looming question seems to be: where is he going to go?
While some NFL fans believe Jackson will stay put in Baltimore, others believe the two-time NFL MVP will close the door on the Ravens.
NFL Fans Weigh In On Lamar Jackson’s Future in Baltimore
On Thursday, on The Domonique Foxworth Show, Foxworth shared that Jackson is currently in an “NBA-style situation” as the Florida native has a no-trade clause and a no-franchise tag clause in his contract, leaving him with the ability to “do what he wants.”
Foxworth went on to share that he believes Jackson is in an ideal situation, as his contract would effectively force the Ravens to keep him. While the former Ravens cornerback showed support for Jackson, he also made it clear Jackson has more than enough leverage.
In response to Foxworth’s warning that Jackson could hold that leverage against Baltimore, ESPN analyst Mike Golic noted that he felt Jackson “holds all the cards.”

One NFL fan shared via X that he felt as though it’s being “under-discussed” how much power Jackson has over the quarterback market.

Jason La Canfora also felt as though Jackson has the Ravens in a chokehold and the NFL world at his feet.

While some fans marveled at the power Jackson has over the Ravens, some believe the four-time Pro-Bowler’s time in Baltimore is drawing to a close.

Jackson himself refuses to comment on his contract or the negotiations in public.
The superstar quarterback signed a five-year, $260 million contract with the Ravens in 2023, which carries an $84.5 million cap hit for 2027. If a new contract isn’t done before the end of the 2027 season, he’ll be in line to become an unrestricted free agent in 2028.
