Should I Draft Isiah Pacheco in Fantasy Football?
Isaiah Pacheco was a starter in Kansas City, and while he obviously isn’t assuming that role in Detroit, the idea that we’ve seen him handle a featured role is encouraging. Jahmyr Gibbs hasn’t missed a game in consecutive seasons, but I’m not sold that’s as much of a negative as the industry seems to believe based on Pacheco’s disrespectful ADP.

His health has resulted in Detroit building its offense around high-end RB production. Gibbs is a unique talent, but should he get dinged up (a possibility for anyone playing this position and handling this level of work), this team isn’t going to want to redo the entire game plan, and that leaves plenty of usage to be assumed by the fill-in option.

The Lions have been a top-5 scoring offense in each of the past four seasons, and that is an environment I want cheap exposure to when the opportunity presents itself. Pacheco is going to be useless for a ton of weeks and may never get a chance to shine, but should he, I think there’s RB2 production to chase, and those are the types of darts I like to throw.
