The case can be made for Amon-Ra St. Brown as the single most stable entity in fantasy football and maybe in fantasy sports altogether. He continues to deliver copy/paste versions of the same season, and that makes him a very easy player to build a solid roster around, as there appears to be almost no risk in the profile of Detroit’s top receiver.
Should I Draft Amon-Ra St. Brown in Fantasy Football?
Over the past three seasons, St. Brown leads all skill players with 34 games of 15+ PPR points (Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs come off the board 1-2 in most drafts, and they are tied for second place over the at stretch with 32 apiece), and that speaks to the type of elevated floor he possesses.
He scored just 11 times on 196 receptions through his first two seasons, and that left us wondering what the true upside was, but he’s averaged 11 per season since and has rounded into a do-it-all receiver for maybe the best offense in the league.

He’s produced with a healthy Sam LaPorta and an inactive version of the tight end. He’s put up monster numbers when Jameson Williams is producing and when he’s struggling. The St. Brown/Jared Goff connection is one of the best in the sport and one that you can feel comfortable with every week of the season.
The Lions only have one real weather concern game this season, and while it comes at a bad time for those of us trying to win championships (Week 17), it comes in Chicago against a below-average defense that struggles regardless of the climate. You’re not going to lose your draft because you clicked St. Brown’s name in the first round and that is often the goal in the early going: obtain a strong foundation and take your chances elsewhere.
