A new offensive coordinator has brought changes, but Hurts has endured a difficult stretch during training camp. Now, a mistake in practice has given Micah Parsons’ brother a chance to join the conversation around Philadelphia’s quarterback.

Hurts’ latest turnover came during a practice session at Lincoln Financial Field, where cornerback Riq Woolen intercepted him twice. The second pick became a touchdown, and the play made its way onto social media after Philly sports personality Victor Williams posted a video of it on X.
Terrence Parsons Jr., the brother of Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons, reshared the clip with a short message aimed directly at Hurts.

The post arrived during a difficult stretch for Hurts, who has struggled with turnovers while Philadelphia installs a revamped offense under coordinator Sean Mannion. His recent practices have included several interceptions, giving opponents and fans plenty to discuss before the regular season begins.

Hurts also had a rough two-day stretch against the New England Patriots, throwing five interceptions across joint practices. He had three interceptions in one session while finishing 19-of-27 without a touchdown during Aug. 19’s practice.
Through 16 practices this summer, Hurts has thrown 13 interceptions. The figure stands out because he threw just 15 across his previous four training camps combined.
Still, Hurts’ regular-season track record provides important context. In 2025, he completed 64.8% of his passes for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also ran for 421 yards and eight touchdowns, making his dual-threat ability a key part of Philadelphia’s offense.
The Eagles will begin their regular season Sept. 13 against the Washington Commanders, giving Hurts a short window to turn the narrative around.
The social media criticism certainly paints a bad picture for Hurts, and his response should come once Philadelphia opens its season. His interceptions from practice won’t count then, but he will have to improve in the games that matter to climb up from last season’s 16th position in PFN’s NFL QB Impact ranking.
