Former NBA All-Star and champion Jeff Teague didn’t hold back when breaking down Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever’s OT win over Angel Reese’s Atlanta Dream.
Teague reacted to Clark’s viral reaction behind Reese after the latter missed a crucial late-game layup.
NBA Champion Jeff Teague Pointed to Caitlin Clark’s Sneaky Laugh Behind Angel Reese After Game-Winning Miss
Things got pretty wild at the end of the Fever-Dream game on Sunday, August 16. Reese had a wide-open layup right at the rim to win it in regulation time, but ended up missing it.
To make matters worse, she went 5-for-16 all night. Immediately after the miss, cameras caught Clark strolling right behind a visibly frustrated Reese with this huge, relief-filled grin on her face.
That viral moment caught the attention of NBA Champ Teague on his Club 520 podcast. Teague didn’t hold back, calling Clark the WNBA’s ‘biggest rockstar’ and pointing out the intense rivalry between both squads.
The 2021 NBA champ with the Milwaukee Bucks laughed at how Clark nonchalantly walked behind Reese “like the Joker” after the missed game-winner.
“She may not be the best but she’s the biggest rockstar, there’s been real smoke between the fever and the dream. And it’s been like that since last year. It’s more smoke now with Angel Reese being there. Angel Reese smoked the layup for the game, she was 5-16 throughout the game. Here’s Caitlin Clark laughing at Angel right after. She walked behind her like the Joker,” Teague said on his podcast.

The Fever-Dream clash was an absolute thriller. Both teams traded blows in a high-energy first quarter, ending level at 21-21. The Dream then took control, building an eight-point edge by the end of the third quarter behind Allisha Gray’s 32-point performance.
However, Indiana’s solid defense held Atlanta to just nine points in the fourth, forcing overtime. The Fever clinched a 95-91 victory behind Clark’s game-high 26 points and 9 assists, along with Makayla Timpson’s career-high 20 points. Reese struggled, shooting 5-of-16 for 15 points, ultimately missing the game-winner before Indiana pulled away.
The Fever head north next to take on the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday in Clark’s very first professional game in Canada. Indiana looks to capitalize on Toronto’s brutal 10-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Reese and the Dream hit the road Tuesday for a tough matchup against the Las Vegas Aces.
