Tyrone Tracy Jr. is going to have to fight for his spot on the New York Giants. ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed on Monday that former Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris is scheduled to visit the Giants today.
Harris suffered a torn Achilles tendon last year while playing under Jim Harbaugh with the Chargers. The 28-year-old was able to play just three games before his season-ending injury but racked up 15 carries for 61 yards.
NFL Fans React to Giants’ Interest in Najee Harris
With talks of Harris joining the Giants, NFL fans were quick to jump on X and share their thoughts on the Pro Bowler’s visit, with many questioning what would happen to one of the Giants’ current running backs, Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Many fans thought that Tracy’s role on the team was in jeopardy, given that his mistake in preseason Week 1 led to Jaxson Dart taking a big hit.

What’s Next for Tracy Jr. and Harris?
Tracy has yet to respond to Harris’ visit. He finished last season with 740 rushing yards and 288 receiving yards with four total touchdowns. According to PFN’s RB Impact Metric, he posted an impact score of 72.5, ranking 33rd at his position.

The Giants currently have Cam Skattebo, Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary, and Eric Gray among their group of running backs. Skattebo suited up in New York’s preseason opener, but signing Harris would give the team more cover in the backfield as the second-year running back is coming off a major ankle injury.
Harris has already visited with the Seattle Seahawks and the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this year.
