Travis Hunter plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but apparently marriage does not come with mandatory football amnesia.
Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, also known as Leanna Hunter, revealed while getting ready for Jacksonville’s first preseason game that her childhood allegiance still belongs to the Green Bay Packers. She is cheering for the Jaguars now, of course, but old fandom has survived the move to Duval County.
Leanna Lenee Says She Is Still a Packers Fan at Heart
“I grew up loving football,” Leanna said in the video. “I grew up a Green Bay Packers fan. I’m still a Green Bay Packers fan at heart. My whole family, most of them are still Packers fans. We love the Packers.”
Then came the understandable marriage adjustment.
“Obviously, we have to cheer for the Jaguars now,” Leanna added.

That is probably the safest possible answer when your husband occupies two spots on Jacksonville’s depth chart.

The confession is not actually a new development for Leanna. She previously revealed in a 2022 YouTube video that she was a Packers fan and wanted Hunter to eventually land in Green Bay because she loved the team and said her godfather had coached there. She also joked at the time that it might be difficult to root for Hunter if he landed with a team she disliked.
Football eventually called her bluff.
Jacksonville selected Hunter No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft after trading up with the Cleveland Browns. Leanna was with him when the pick was announced, and the couple married one month later.

Her latest video came as she prepared for Jacksonville’s preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints. Hunter did not play Saturday as Liam Coen rested many of his starters, but the Jaguars rallied for a 24-20 victory.
Football Life Fits Leanna’s Constantly Moving Childhood
The Packers revelation was one of several details Leanna shared in the video.
She explained that she grew up in a military family and moved frequently, including living in Germany before coming to the United States around age 10. She said she attended 10 schools from kindergarten through 12th grade and lived in Kansas, South Carolina, and Georgia.
That background, she joked, made life around professional football surprisingly natural.
“That’s why football life is kind of like perfect for me because I cannot be anywhere too long,” Leanna said.

Jacksonville has recently provided a more permanent home. Travis and Leanna married in May 2025 and announced the birth of their son in August. Their family life has remained part of what Leanna shares online while Hunter prepares for his second NFL season.
The Packers connection adds one amusing wrinkle to the household. Hunter spent draft night at Lambeau Field in 2025, but Green Bay never had a realistic chance to select him at No. 2.
Instead, Leanna got a Jaguars husband and kept a Packers heart.
There are worse compromises. At least the teams are in different conferences.
