However, with the game already slipping away, one fourth-quarter incident involving DiJonai Carrington and a courtside spectator became the headline.
DiJonai Carrington Complained To Kick a Fan Out
With 8:47 remaining in the fourth quarter at Chase Center, Carrington approached referee Sarah Williams and pointed toward a male fan seated courtside. Security subsequently intervened, and the spectator was escorted from the arena.

A Golden State Valkyries official later confirmed the incident to ClutchPoints, saying the fan cooperated after a complaint that was ultimately described as “unfounded.” Carrington’s exact allegation has not been publicly disclosed.
Broadcast footage also failed to provide a clear picture of the exchange. The cameras did not capture anything the spectator said or did before security became involved. This made it difficult for viewers to understand exactly what prompted Carrington’s complaint.

One user took a more practical angle. They argued that ejecting fans over shaky complaints was bad optics for a franchise that can’t spare the crowd.
