Angel Reese has once again landed herself right in the middle of social media outrage following a heated sequence during the Atlanta Dream’s game against the Las Vegas Aces on Monday.
While Reese finished with a double-double, her on-court behavior during the 109-87 loss ignited intense backlash.

With less than seven minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Dream trailed 66-45. Reese drove right into the Aces’ Stephanie Talbot.
During the intense physical contest, the three-time All-Star’s elbow caught Talbot in the face, knocking her down. Instead of an offensive charging foul being called, Talbot was whistled for a personal foul.
While this is not an unusual scene in a high-energy sport like basketball, Reese’s reaction heightened the drama. After converting the layup, she stood over Talbot, trash-talking while pointing her finger down. This all transpired while the Dream faced a 20-point deficit.
This entire sequence, alongside WNBA officiating, which is currently under fire, sparked immediate backlash across social media.

Despite a close 24-22 opening quarter, the Aces took a comfortable 55-38 lead into halftime. The Aces built on that momentum and secured a 109-87 blowout victory.
Reese finished the game with 23 points, 16 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 turnover, while shooting 10-of-19 from the field and 0-of-2 from deep.
While physical play and aggression remain core elements of any basketball game, the incident between Reese and Talbot during a blowout loss overshadowed an otherwise dominant individual double-double performance from the former.
