Alexander Zverev is continuing to make the most of his time off following his stellar run to the 2026 Wimbledon Championships final. The world No. 2 headed to Ibiza after losing to Jannik Sinner in the title clash at the grass-court Major and has been soaking up the sun with his girlfriend, German presenter, model, and actress Sophia Thomalla.

After winning his maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open, Zverev carried that momentum into his Wimbledon campaign, advancing past the fourth round of the Major for the first time in his career.
The German snapped his seven-match losing streak against Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals and cruised past home hope Arthur Fery in the semifinals to set up a meeting with Jannik Sinner. Despite Zverev’s strong start to the final, Sinner ultimately claimed a 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 victory to clinch his second consecutive Wimbledon title.
Following his runner-up finish, Zverev traveled to Ibiza for a well-deserved break, during which he was spotted spending time with Rafael Nadal and friends. The 29-year-old has since been joined by his girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, and their pet dog, Mishka, with the couple enjoying quality time together on a boat against the stunning seascape.

Although Zverev and Thomalla prefer to keep their relationship largely private, the world No. 2 did speak warmly about his girlfriend in an interview with RTL+ before Wimbledon. He expressed his deep love and admiration for Thomalla, revealing that she always knew exactly how to be there for him.
“Sophia is incredibly smart. Of course, I love her and she’s been my partner for almost five years, but above all, I have immense respect for her. For me, she’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. Because she understands exactly these kinds of things. She knows when you want to be left alone. She also knows when support is needed. She’s an incredible help to me in my life as well,” Zverev said.
Zverev also opened up about wanting to have children with Thomalla, adding that he wants a “big family.” The German already has a five-year-old daughter, Mayla, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Brenda Patea.
Following his relaxing getaway with Sophia Thomalla, Alexander Zverev will begin gearing up for the North American hard-court swing. He is set to compete at the Canadian Open next, joining Jannik Sinner, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Novak Djokovic, among others, at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Montreal.
